For as long as any can remember, clans of wild cats have existed, and for as long as they have existed, there have always been loners, rogues, and kittypets looking to join them, hoping to find fellowship and safety in numbers.
However, many clans proved to be very selective when it came to who was allowed to join their ranks. Some cats were turned away or even driven out based on their backgrounds, unusual appearances, or beliefs. Others were accepted, but only if they agreed to conform to the clan's ways in whatever way they could.
Those who were rejected and didn't want to conform eventually decided that they'd had enough, and formed their own clan: WildClan, where all were welcome and could be wild and free.

Roleplay Thread
WildClan are very lax compared to other clans...almost too much so. They have been known to bend and break parts of the warrior code to their liking and will generally accept anyone into their clan, so long as they don't pose an obvious threat. Because there are so many cats in WildClan from so many different backgrounds, it's not uncommon for disagreements to arise between clanmates. While WildClan was founded on the principle of accepting others as they are and not imposing customs and beliefs onto them or forcing them to conform, this principle itself is often the cause of tension within the clan. Some cats believe that WildClan is too lax now and that clan values have been lost over time, while others think that WildClan is just fine the way it is. Whispers circulate that WildClan's foundation is not as strong as it once was and that it will end up dividing, or worse, collapsing entirely, but whether or not that's true, only time will tell.

Rules and Things to Know:
1. Just like the clan itself, this roleplay is meant to be a fairly lax one, similar to early Warriors roleplays. This means that characters don't have to be 100% realistic, and diversity is encouraged! Cats with semi-unrealistic pelt colors, eye colors, names, various beliefs, backgrounds, gender identities, sexualities, disabilities, and other traits are all allowed! However please don't go crazy. No OP characters/cats with powers or special abilities (except in the case of prophecies), descendants of canon cats or powerful past leaders, etc. This roleplay is still meant to be taken seriously at the end of the day, just a bit more relaxed, so please do not create ridiculously over-the-top characters. If you make a trans character, please specify in their form what genders they transitioned to and from (e.g. female to male, male to non-binary, etc.), and feel free to include their pronouns too (no neopronouns, sorry).
2. Please be aware that while WildClan will generally accept anyone and everyone into their clan, this does not mean that every cat in the clan will necessarily be completely accepting of others. Because WildClan is not as strict with rules and is made up of so many different cats with varying beliefs, values, and backgrounds, it is meant to be somewhat of a chaotic clan in which disagreements often arise, just like the real world. I encourage you to make characters with various views to create conflict and drama! However, please keep all drama between characters in the roleplay, don't go overboard with it, and do not attack or start drama with other roleplayers with different views than you. Similarly, if the possibility of your character being challenged by other characters within the roleplay bothers you, then this might not be the roleplay for you.
3. Keep your characters original. If part of yours is too similar to someone else's, I may ask you to change it. This clan is meant to be full of different, unique cats after all. Specifically in regards to names, common prefixes (e.g. Mouse-, Gray-, etc.) may be used by more than one cat at a time, however less common prefixes (e.g. Dragon-, Spirit-, etc.) shouldn't be reused unless a cat is being named in honor of another cat. Additionally, Wild- may never be used as a cat's prefix.
4. Only one high rank per person.
5. Proper grammar and spelling please.
6. You can't be your own mate/crush or mentor/apprentice.
7. Please keep all forms and ooc conversation to the discussion thread.
8. You can make your own form, but it must include appearance, name, age, gender, rank, and any other additional info such as personality, history, etc. if it is relevant.
9. No NPC characters.
10. Although it may go against the spirit of the clan, I reserve the right to ask you to change anything about your character if I deem it to be too unrealistic, inappropriate, or otherwise unfit for the roleplay, and to add or make changes to these rules at any time as I see fit.

Territory:
WildClan lives in the Forest Territories that were once inhabited by ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. In a turn of events, the twolegs' destruction of the forest, which caused the other clans to leave, inexplicably ceased one day and was never completed. The forest and wildlife were allowed to recover and grow back, and many moons later, WildClan settled there, guided by StarClan. They now reside in what was once ThunderClan's old camp, and while they know all of the prominent landmarks of the territory by their original names--presumably told them by StarClan--they know not of the clans that once lived there. As such, they simply refer to the former clans' territories as the Moorland, the Marshland, and the Island, respectively. All of the Forest Territories are now WildClan territory, making their claim on the land quite expansive, and many different flora and fauna can be found there, far more than there was moons ago when the original four clans lived there.
