The pps lion is an outcome from the new litter, the rest are just regular existing pets that are getting a little... flourish for today

I hope the PPS lion's eyes stay - someone offered a trade for some of mine and the googly eyes had dropped away in the trade window D:

Last year's April cat litter also had a PPS that got inflicted with the year's prank, it was not permanent so I don't expect this one will be either.

We have gotten lions mixed in with monthly cat litters, but are these the first full monthly lion litter? I missed the PPS but I'm very happy to see these guys. I always thought the lions should potentially be monthly adopts because along with the dogs, rats, butterfly wolves and sitting cats, they are the oldest pets on the site.

We've had regular lion litters once or twice, but not in a very long time. I think the last non-event litter that wasn't a cat surprise outcome was March 2014

no, they will go away on the 2nd. But over the course of the day, more pets should be showing up with the eyes. (Past years, as the day goes on more and more pets get whatever the joke is that year. ^_^)
