I love how prominent his phantom markings are. I'm sure you're doing fabulous with him even with that learning curve, I know the grooming is just as much a learning thing for me since I plan to show.

Has anyone noticed how like toxic the dog community is online? Idk if anyone else has been stuck on the side of dog community tiktok where everyone is just fighting all the time but I've been stuck there for well over 2 years now and it's just been getting worse💀😭. It's so frustrating, like a lot of the things being argued about (ethical breeding, training, diet, ect) are important and deserve to have conversations around them HOWEVER instead it seems the community would just rather call each other bad owners and abusive rather than actually listen and work on the problems that the other side is bringing up. At this point after seeing like 10+ videos everyday with all this fighting and accusing I've lost a lot of interest in the dog community, like I was planning to get my next dog from a breeder rather than a rescue this time and more actively participate in sports with my future dog but after seeing how the community interacts has made me really lose that passion at the thought of having to interact with ppl like that irl (ofc I know theres many great ppl part of the community, the vast majority, but a couple bad apples is enough to ruin something for me personally). Also the way they treat vets, like I swear there's some pipeline on tiktok the starts with pet food conspiracy's that leads to thinking vets actively seek to harm ur dog at every given opportunity 😭
Is it as bad IRL ? My dog is pretty old so I havent been to any dog events in a long time so I don't really have much knowledge on what its like in the IRL communities (plus when I did do agility and such with my dog my experience wasn't great with the trainer helping me teach my dog which actually ended up in my quitting, so to be honest I never really got to experience much of IRL events sadly). I'm very curious if this just a problem online, or do you see it irl too?
Sorry for all the rambling, I think seeing all those tiktoks everyday has scrambled my brain lol

Does anyone have a favourite trick they've taught their dog? I've had some downtime recently and am having fun teaching Bailey tricks. Nothing insane right now, we've just got sit, stay, and paw. I can't figure out how to teach her down, but I've never really taught a dog before so I'm happy with what I've got squeezed out of her little brain so far.
Pic for dog tax. She's almost 2 years old now, how time flies.

I am a dog mom of 2! I work full time at a dog daycare (and have for almost 4 years now) and also do dog training! My world literally revolves around dogs. My PMs are always open for any dog questions or conversations!!

And I wanted to get myself my own personal dog as well. So last June I adopted an Aussie. He was 9 months then already and hadn't really been trained or anything like that but I didn't think it'd be an issue as our Russells have turned out absolutely perfect. Boy, was I wrong. His energy levels are absolutely insane and he is also dog reactive, which we've already been working on for a while now, but it's still so difficult. I love him to bits, but sometimes I wonder if getting him was the right decision.
So if anyone has any success stories regarding their reactive or difficult dog, I'd love to hear them :)
