glimmerwolves are semi-open, meaning that you are allowed to make your own glimmerwolf (using our base or custom drawn) under our MYO thread, but must have them approved by a staff member if you would like to use them to participate in the species' community. there will also be adopts made under here that will be free to enter or paid adopts made by artists on the staff team.
you are allowed to make a glimmerwolf to use as a personal character. you are not allowed to make glimmerwolves to sell for profit or to host adopt competitions, as that is something only artists on the staff team can do.
glimmerwolf inspired ocs and etc. are okay to make but won't be recognized as official glimmerwolves and cannot be used within the species' community if they are not approved or made by an artist on the staff team. it's completely fine to make them but they won't have the official "glimmerwolf" name so to speak.

> please be respectful to one another! harassment, bullying, and any sort of hateful comments will not be tolerated.
> do not whine or complain if you do not win an adopt.
> do not beg, bribe, or guilt-trip artists or other community members to obtain an adopt.
> do not mini-mod! if there is ever an issue or question, please bring it up with any glimmerwolf staff member.
> do not steal/trace/reference others' glimmerwolf designs or steal/trace/reference any part of the glimmerwolf lineart, species thread graphics, etc. art theft will not be tolerated.
> please be patient and do not spam any glimmerwolf related threads.
> please be mindful of and respect artists' personal TOS when adopting an official design.
> be sure to credit artists properly for their designs and/or art.
> breaking any of the species rules will result in a warning or a ban, depending on the severity of the situation.
> banned members are still allowed to keep their glimmerwolves, however they are not allowed to participate in any community activities including entering adopts, creating glimmerwolves under the MYO thread, games & events, etc.
> there is no limit to how many glimmerwolves you can own!
> you are allowed to make up to 4 free glimmerwolves under our MYO thread. you can design them yourself or have them designed for you by another user. this limit might be raised in the future.
> you are allowed to gift and trade glimmerwolves with other members of the community. when trading/gifting/selling, please be sure to post under a form under the archive thread so the trade/gift can be documented + archive updated accordingly.
> co-owning glimmerwolves is not allowed.
> glimmerwolves that were obtained for free can only be traded for other characters or art, and cannot be sold unless they come with extra paid for/commissioned art.
> similarly, do not sell a glimmerwolf for more than what you originally paid for unless they come with extra paid for/commissioned art.
> you cannot sell a bought glimmerwolf for a currency other than the currency you bought them for. (ex: glimmerwolves bought for C$ cannot be sold for real currency and vice versa.) unless they come with extra paid for/commissioned art.
> you are allowed to make anthro and humanoid forms for your glimmerwolf and draw them as such.
> you are allowed to edit and revamp/redesign glimmerwolves made by yourself through the MYO thread. however, you may not edit or revamp/redesign glimmerwolves obtained through our main adopts without permission from the original artist.
> you are allowed to transfer glimmerwolves out of the species, but must first receive permission from the artist and from casiopea to transfer them. this is to ensure that the archive is kept up to date and accurate.

rules are subject to change and may be added or tweaked as needed!
