rules and guidelines

by participating in our community, that automatically means you agree and will adhere to all of the rules below. these rules are subject to change, be modified, or be added to as i see fit or if circumstances call for a rule modification.


CONDUCT

-you are expected to be kind and courteous to everyone inside and outside of our community.

-begging and/or guilt tripping of any kind is not tolerated and will result in a strike.

-we operate on a 3 strike basis, you may receive 3 strikes before a ban.

-everything related to insecticats must be CS appropriate, as this is the main platform we operate from.

-bullying and/or harassment is not tolerated, period. depending on severity, you will receive a strike or ban if caught.

-you must follow all CS rules while participating in our community.

-you are not permitted to produce or participate in hateful content of or containing insecticats. this includes but is not limited to; making a hateful insecticat design, utilizing racial stereotypes, homophobia, transphobia, racism, bullying, and harassment

-you may report any members in our community (including members of staff) to whispering.smaug as long as you have evidence. reports without evidence will be disregarded.

GENERAL SPECIES RULES

-insecticats are a closed species meaning you cannot create your own without an MYO or prior consent from the owner, whispering.smaug (me).


-in the event you are banned, you have 2 options for your insecticats;

1. your insecticats will be voided and removed from the masterlist. they will no longer be considered part of the species and cannot be used as such. this is the default option, and will be enforced if we cannot reach you.

2. you may give your insecticats up to be readopted through free contests held by insecticat staff. you must give us explicit, written consent to do so.

-transferring an insecticat out of the species requires whispering.smaug’s (my) approval.

-art theft and design theft are prohibited. if you are caught doing either, it will result in a ban.

-you may own an unlimited amount of insecticats

-you may only win 3 free adoptions and 4 paid adoptions in a week (7 total)

-you must own an insecticat for 1 week (7 days) before reselling, breeding, gifting, or trading them

-insecticats may be grown after 2 weeks (14 days), but have a cooldown of 10 days before they can be bred

-you are not permitted to make explicit or sexual artwork of your insecticats. we operate on chicken smoothie and follow their artwork guidelines.

-custom lines are welcomed and highly encouraged!

MYOs, GROWTHS, AND TRANSFERS

-traits must be listed in rarity order in the description of your insecticat

-you may complete any MYO/growth/transfer off oekaki, but it must be submitted under the applicable thread under a cover

-you must have the appropriate MYO to gain access to the MYO thread

-you must post your MYO, growth, or transfer under a cover with a “fake” sign before it is approved, this may be removed after approval. please additionally provide a link of the image of your design without any of the above mentioned requirements so it may be judged for approval.

-your MYO, growth, or transfer must be approved by a member of staff before it can be used as an official insecticat.

NURSERY AND BREEDING

-insecticats may be any gender or sexual orientation.

-you must obtain consent prior to breeding your insecticats with someone else.

-insecticats may breed with any other insecticat regardless of gender.

-only up to 3 insecticats may breed at any one time.

-insecticats have unlimited breeding slots, as long as they are on custom adult lines or the standard adult lines.

-you absolutely may not breed insecticat kittens, they must be grown and off of cooldown before they can breed.

-after breeding, each insecticat used will go on a cooldown of 2 weeks.

-each breeding will result in 1-4 kittens. artists are not permitted to exceed the maximum 4 kittens, and must produce at least 1 kitten per litter.

-all items being used in a breeding must be clearly labeled and linked to on your ticket.

STAFF EXPECTATIONS AND GUIDELINES

-our staff team is at liberty to uphold and adhere to these rules as are all of our members.

-staff members may receive 3 strikes before they are fired from their position, and 2 additional strikes before they are banned from the species.

-per 4 free adoptions an artist makes, they may make 1 paid adoption unless given explicit permission from the owner.

-our staff team must remain unbiased and fair.

-traits should be listed in rarity order in the description of your insecticat.

-if an artist is unable to judge a competition in 2 weeks after the end date, another member of staff will step in to judge.

-all members of staff who wish to approve designs must first consult whispering.smaug (me), cronamatic, or Axe The Furball before granting approval
