Prompt:

Getting comfortable is easy enough. Snuggling down somewhere warm and cozy with a drink and maybe a snack within reach is the easy part. It's the staying comfy that's the hard part sometimes. Oh sure it's comfy in one position for a while but after a while, the body just starts kicking up a fuss for a leg to move and be placed just so. Cherry really struggles sometimes and he hates it because he just wants to be comfortable so he can sit and read.
Somedays a loaf is the perfect position and he can stay like that for hours and others it's no good within an hour or under! Some days are honestly better than others in regards to getting comfy and staying that way. While some are horrible and no matter what he does it's like nothing is good enough for his brain to say yes to. Those are the worst kinds of days and they leave the Skittykyu feeling frustrated and upset (he gets himself into such a state.)
When the ultimate comfy is achieved it is pure bliss and he will lose himself in the book. Only taking breaks for a drink or snack before diving back into the book and enjoying what it holds for him.
That day wasn't very interesting but the book Cherry had brought with him was more than enough to make up for the dullness of the day. He was getting to a particularly interesting part, the protagonists true identity had just been revealed and those around him were furious. When the all too familiar feeling of gotta shift because no longer comfy started pestering him. Cherry hissed angrily and desperately tried to continue reading before the feeling grew too much to bare and he yowled angrily before standing up in a huff.
He took some time to move about and try and bully the feeling back into submission before going back to the beanbag and curling up in a tight ball. With his brain behaving again it was back to the book and seeing what was going to happen next, he was all too eager to keep going. More than happy to stay there all day.
Its far easier for some pokemon to get immersed in their reading compared to others. Were you to ask 808 to read, you would find yourself trapped in a neverending battle of trying to get him to shut up-- he reads aloud, you see, and this is hardly a good trait to have when he practically blares every sentence inside the library.
It was for this exact reason that Bob had elected to put a soft ‘ban’ on the entity entering the library-- unlike xer ‘companion’, the Espeown knew far better. After all, Bob had no voice with which to properly speak. Being mute had its perks at times, as rare as they were, and being unable to be accused of ruining the reading experiences of others was certainly counted among them.
However, this still raised the question of HOW exactly Bob intended to become comfortable in this unfamiliar environment. Libraries were like a second home for xer at least, and if there was one thing xe had learned after all of these times…there were always spots in libraries for xer to hide away in.
So perhaps it came as little shock to anyone when xer son Kairos came looking for xer…that Kairoz had some immense difficulties locating the Espeown. The sight that he would gaze upon once he finally found his father figure, however, would be something to behold and never forget.
It appeared that the creature carried a thin silk veil for this exact purpose. In one of the far off corners of the library, tucked between two somewhat dusty shelving units sparse with books…was Bob. The silk had been trapped underneath some books on either side, keeping up and allowing it to drape over the empty space between.
Underneath the makeshift ‘palace’ laid Bob, legs tucked in underneath xer and a cozy book simply floating in front of xer. Xer orbs glowed vibrantly as xe used his telepathy to hold his current obsession in front of his singular ocular, the only audible noise being the occasional turning of the page.
Kairos paused at the sight, unsure of what to do. He couldn’t possibly disturb Bob like this, right?
…right?
The next time someone came to look for Bob, they’d find an unusual sight. A little Eevee fusion tucked in the nooks and crannies of the Espeown’s side, curled up and listening to what appeared to be a silent reading session. It was silent to all but them.
Being mute had its perks…but being able to tell a story without speaking a word? Sometimes that was even better. Bob was getting better at this whole dad thing…just don’t tell xer that. Let them enjoy their books in peace.
Day 3 is done!

“I don’t think Bentley would be very happy if he realized what was going on here,” Aviator grunted to Captain Spoons with a frown.
Arranged on the counter between them was a variety of artifacts. Neither of them had any idea where any item came from, or any purpose that they may have served in their original dimensions. The Hoothoot nonetheless reached out for a spherical object with her wing, slightly wrapping her appendage around it.
“He takes archival very seriously,” she warned the Gastrodon fusion further, “Who knows what will happen if these end up in the wrong hands?”
“Or wings?” Captain Spoons replied innocently.
Aviator’s scowl grew, and the deputy drew back slightly. He could feel his ears pinning back against his head.
“I mean…” he muttered before looking down at the floor. Oh, how appealing it seemed in that moment. His paws fiddled with each other, and he added, “He’d understand if he knew that these were for the library. We could tell him about-”
“Do you mean ‘I could tell him?’” Aviator interrupted, “Because I’m not getting involved in any of this.”
Captain Spoons gulped.
“Fine,” he eventually sighed, “I could tell him about how the library wants something to spruce up its counter and make it seem more… Welcoming to visitors. I’m sure the staff there can take good care of the items we give them.”
“Give?”
Captain Spoons blinked, then asked, “Do you really think we’re just going to let them borrow these?” He gestured at the items in front of him. “These have been cluttering up the archives for several cycles now; I haven’t seen a single scholar try to study them…”
Aviator’s brow furrowed in thought for a few moments- Well, the reality was a few moments. It just seemed to last much longer than that, as Captain Spoons could feel his very soul being pierced into by her gaze. Was she examining him? Judging him? Looking for more aspects to criticize or insult?
The owl eventually clicked her beak and shook their head.
“I suppose that’s a reasonable rationale-” Aviator started to reply.
Captain Spoons sighed in relief.
“- But you’re still going to have to confront him on your own. Understood?”
Captain Spoons flattened his ears further. Oh.
Well, a library checkout counter needs bookmarks! Need bookmarks for the books you just checkouted! The bookmarks are made with all sorts of materials and most of them are local made! Then also magazines about all sorts of things, from food to crafts... maybe a few ones about drama for the spice of it! Then multiples of the latest book release, after all it's a hot item! Some mugs for tea or coffee too, always need something hot to drink while reading a good book! Then a whole rotating shelf full of glasses for reading! Some might have small text and some people and pokemon might just need a little extra boost to read the new books they just checked out! Some bags of course! How else are you going to carry your bags? There is paper if you don't want to buy a whole new bag but the choice is always there!
