"Raising... money?" Kougra raised an eyebrow, peeking over Lemoni's shoulder curiously. "What's that got to do with helping?"

Lemoni laughed, holding the little mouse up. "Loveletters fuel practically everything here! You can buy pretty much anything with em... you can sacrifice them to almighty Mew to find more friends... and they're pretty easy to come by!"

"Wait, what was that middle part?"

"Huh? What middle part." They set Kougra down. "Anyways, we're gonna need to make some loveletters, and fast. It's almost nighttime."

"But I'm just a baby! I can't make loveletters." Kougra sat, rubbing her temple.

"You're ten??" Lemoni reminded her exasperatedly. "Whatever, I think I've got an idea."

"Love tester, right here, right now! Step right up and test your relationships! Only 50 loveletters a spin!" Lemoni shouted.

The idea was unique... bound to cause some drama, some intrigue... but everything went well!

"We also have cupcakes!"

The lovely Hatterene Silly begrudgingly accepted to read the emotions of the Pokemon visiting the library, and only slapped a few of them out of overstimulation. She'd hold Dairy Queen's hand as she read couples' emotions, making educated guesses at to how much they favored each other. She never got tricked by those who were pretending; she was too in keen with her power for that! Dairy Queen even provided some fresh homemade cupcakes for sale, offering them to all passerby.

By the end of it, they had raked in all the loveletters! "Let's get these over to Gerard!" Kougra shouted happily, carrying a bundle of pristinely wrapped loveletters in her arms. "Well, who knew fundraising was so easy and effective? I'm sure everything else will be just as easy!" She bounded towards the rotting library, excited to show the Noctowl her efforts.

Immediately, as if Mew themself had pulled her leg, she tripped, spilling the loveletters all around. Whoops! Guess there'd be trials and tribulations no matter what.

Baffle was... well... baffled. For a long time he just stood in the atrium, looking around himself and taking in the building in all its dilapidated glory. Dust covered everything, and through broken windows had blown sticks, twigs, and trash that now littered the floor and piled in the corners. It also looked as if a rogue colony of Spinirak had been using the place at some point, for a thick coating of webs hung from the rafters and wafted eerily in a breeze so light that Baffle himself couldn't feel it. But the pace had potential! Its bones were solid, and the empty shelves that lined the walls were well constructed. The floor near the entryway had been done in a beautiful mosaic, and the railing around an upper-level balcony was beautifully carved. With everything cleaned and polished, the shelves stocked with books... it would look quite grand! Quite grand indeed!

But Baffle hadn't known that the library was even here. And the building definitely didn't look new.

Was he really that oblivious? He? A lover of the printed word and dedicated fan of classic literature?

The Mimothim's eyes lingered on a sign posted to the left of the front desk, asking for help with raising money. Clearly, whoever managed this building was looking to bring it back to life, and renovations weren't cheap! A smile crossed his lips. He might not have known that the library was here before, but he certainly did now, and he'd do everything he could to get it back up and running. This town could really use a library! He could do with a few new things to read!

Baffle allowed his smile to turn into a grin. And he knew just the thing to do! He'd reach out to his friends at the Gourmand Group and see if Ragù would be interested in helping him organize a bake sale. He didn't doubt that the shuckle would be all for helping out the library too! Ragù was a fellow reader, especially of cook-books, and he was always looking for excuses to cook for people. It couldn't be more perfect! Baffle leaned forward and used his finger to trace a smiley face in the dust on the desk. Next to it, he wrote: Support your local library!!

Milk happily floated after the large group of humans and pokemon, a big smile on their face as they soon met gerard, who explained to them that they needed to raise funding to help fix the old library. The building looked like it was about to fall apart even more, which brought a frown to milks face, Milk waited as the others went off to go get their funds for the rebuilding of the library. Milk soon started to make their own stand, summoning bakes, sweets of all sorts to sell for money.
Milk watched as pokemon and trainers a like came to buy their sweets, happy grins on their faces after they ate the sweets and baked goods.

Was what all the trainers and pokemon said as they ate the sweets, milks grin got bigger, as the bowl of money got bigger and bigger with each sale. Milk would keep at it for a couple more hours, gaining a lot more than they expected to get. Once the bowl was almost tipping over in money, milk sold the last few baked goods they had, picking up the bowl and heading off to the library. Stopping along to grab some extra supplies just in case they´d need them. Milk set the bowl full of money down on teh counter, a happy hoot coming from gerard. ¨Wow! Didn expect this much! Thank you so much!" Milk happily smiled at gerard, clapping their hnads. ¨Of course!¨

"What should we get?" Lassie didn't have the foggiest clue as to what they could scrounge together to gather funding... She didn't know of any neat trinkets or particularly funded mon.
"We could always try some pearls, I've seen some by the ocean! Maybe they could help?" Ramune was more eager to help than his Weedle friend. He loved helping people and also loved foraging. So this was right up his alley.
"Oh, that could work. Yes, let's to that." The two set off from the library, Ramune carrying his partner in adventures upon his crown as she lounged and watched the scenery change as they went. Lassie's vision wasn't as keen as Ramune's, but she could really root around in the wet sands.
It was a few hours of scavenging, a close call with a Goldeen, and a lot of light hearted chatter before they called it quits. They head back, hoping this would be enough to help out.

Prompt: Previously, Vayn did not exactly fancy making money the normal way. Despite the fact that she would be very capable of making money, she’s a bit lazy, and did not really have the best morals either. Her preferred money making method? Tax evasion, of course! As an artist, she makes quite a decent sum of money from commissions and such, but being self employed she never reported any of that money she made to the IRS. Now, this alone isn’t all that uncommon, but being a Pokémon under the care of a trainer means that she herself isn’t going to be the one to face consequences- her trainer is. Eventually, she got caught, and her poor trainer Mal had to pay 100,000 pokedollars. That was way more than Mal really was able to afford to pay, and seeing her beloved trainer go into debt because of her mistake made her sincerely regret her actions. From that day, she started working twice as hard- and eventually, she did make enough to make up for the hundred thousand dollar fine.
Needing to raise money again for the repairs was going to be easy as pie thanks to her previous experiences. See, her new secret to making lots of money isn’t tax fraud, or theft, or anything shady like that. What is it? Well, it’s a meowth trainer. In exchange for doing art for meowth’s trainer, Vayn gets to battle meowth and collect all of the coins it drops using the move pay day. Also, the meowth gets experience from battling Vayn, since Vayn purposefully loses. It’s a win for everyone.

The stained glass window is a glittery sparkly mess, depicting the most legendary pokemon of all, Mew and Mew 2. Mew 2 was outlined in muscles and darkness, an eerie glow from the sun made the larger Mew seem more powerful and more dangerous. While the smaller Mew was much lighter and brighter.

'The World's Greatest Optimist and the World's Worst Pessimist' a small golden plaque beneath it read, as well as crediting many of the artists and Rylee and Ashen, the sketchers of the design.

Rylee and Ashen were so proud of themselves for making it, the glitter, the dark and bright purples, and the angle at which the sun glew in and laid shadows on the ground.
