another thing that could boost morale is irl merch, i couldn't buy any since i was 12-13 at the time if i remember right lol, but i was SO hyped to see the merch that was going to be sold at anthrocon even if i couldnt go (which you can see here -> https://i.imgur.com/oSIQQ.jpg), especially the unreleased sunback plushie, i even remember being hyped up for the cs mall when it sold stickers (https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2088229). even if it was a limited release, selling sunback plushies or other pets like the moonswirl, ce or be galaxy, or even avian and totoro could go a long way, heck if i saw some of my favorite pets on a mug or something i just might consider getting one.

I was a kid at the time, too. I wasn't allowed to buy any of the merch. I definitely would now! I want that Sunback plushie so bad. I think the site would benefit greatly from it coming back if the site ever needs more money. Plus, it would just be fun to release these items again. I really want some of them.

I would EASILY drop real money on CS merch. This site has been a huge part of my life since I was small. Heck I like chickensmoothie more than some of my more 'modern' hobbies

Is it just me or has trading been pleasant lately? I don't know if it is the holidays or what, but people seem to be
a lot kinder in general (at least towards me) in trades. I always try to be fair and I always try to follow whatever
guidelines are available during the present time to make sure it's fair. But recently, I have only been met with
kindness. Even when a trade isn't accepted, I get a sweet message just to let me know that they just weren't
feeling it. This is such a nice improvement from even just a month ago. Maybe the community is taking a turn
for the better?

I know there is a lot of issues still, but general community and kindness, I think, is such a great start. c:

Is it just me, or has cheating become somewhat rampant again? I've seen accounts less that 5 months old accumulate well over 20k pets, most from accounts with 10 posts or less...
Not to mention the numberous accounts that logged in for Dec 18th, adopted the VR pets, gave them (yes, *gave*, as they have no other pets other than a month's worth of adopts) and logged back out? How are these people not being caught?

Tonight there was a lot of people on since there was the new years rollover, but I totally agree. There's another forum ( x ) that was made about this too. I really hope something is done to improve it

I wonder if we saw the same accounts? Well I reported suspicious accounts! But from an outsider's perspective nothing looks to have changed -shrug emoji- Maybe I was wrong about what was going on. Or they got a warning or ban I can't see.

It would definitely boost morale to know cheaters on Dec 18th are dealt with swiftly though!

I feel like a big problem with the site is that there is too much rudeness and arguing in the site suggestions board than discussion. I am neurodivergent and sometimes cannot tell if I’m coming across as rude or not until later or if I am corrected and while many people like me are rude accidentally,there are others who are actively trying to be rude or aggressive over opinions.Any time a suggestion isn’t popular with users,there’s no discussion,just nitpicking and berating someone for sharing their idea. I think it’s a shame! I won’t lie and say that I haven’t been rude on this board before by poor word choice,but many posts I see go far beyond a poor choice in words and are mean spirited. I feel like there should be more discussion when new threads are put up instead of quote bandwagons and jabs at the op of each thread. I don’t like that popularity of your idea determines how people will treat you in your own thread. Any time an idea isn’t deemed “good”, there’s unnecessarily villainizing and bandwagons of people joining in just to add more to the fire.

I like this thread because there’s no room for it,it’s an open discussion and I feel like the whole board should be more like this thread. Part of the reason that this site is dying is because people just aren’t okay with someone having an idea they don’t like and instead of saying “no support “ they have to add something that wasn’t deserved. I have many drafts of ideas,but I know they won’t be popular and am afraid that sharing them will lead to me being berated for simply sharing. I’ve posted in many threads that ended up becoming very..aggressive. I feel like many others also feel that it’s hard to make threads they know won’t be popular. At the same time though, it kinda sucks to not be able to see all sides of something if it isn’t something all users would like instantly. I don’t mind debating,but I feel like a lot of what I see on threads go way past a “civil debate”.
