Chirrups are an unusual species. They have the face and long neck of a barn owl but the rest of their body is usually a mix of something else — kind of like a gryphon without wings. Sometimes they're part cat, or part dog, or maybe even part otter. Even with these odd characteristics, they're actually very friendly creatures, and love a scritch under their chin every once in a while. Their size varies, from being as small as a domestic house cat to as giant as an average 6 foot human being; it all depends on what they've been gene-spliced from.
Most of them reside in the cool and local shady forest village!

Some chirrups you'll see will look quite similar in physique (very little to no line edits), these are considered standard chirrups. Most chirrups like these are gene-spliced from so many species of animals that you can't specficially pinpoint which one.
Other chirrups will have very drastic changes to their look (major edits), called snazzy chirrups. Almost anything would be in the realm of possibility for them to look like, maybe some will have wings, longer fur, different ear shapes, a different snout and much more!

Chirrups, like birds, are very prideful with their appearance. And with this, they have a wide range of apparel and clothing to choose from. A chirrup's favorite activity is dressup!

how do i get a chirrup? you can get one from raffles and giveaways that are sometimes held below!

are they free? yep, they’re all free.

can i draw my chirrup and/or have them as my oc? of course !

can i edit my chirrup even if i own it? no you may not. designs on a chirrup will not normally be changed unless an item added onto them by staff is done!

are items consumable/one-use only? yes, once you apply it to a chirrup it cannot be added back in the inventory or given to a different chirrup.

what are "non-owners?" non-owners are anyone that do not have a chirrup yet!

※ general rules

• do not steal and claim chirrups that you do not own, edit existing chirrups without permission, take the base, or make your own chirrups if you are not permitted to do so.
• you are allowed to trade chirrups for other ones and even other uma adopts (so long as the other uma permits this).
• chirrups have a 3 day cooldown before being traded. only litter-swaps have no cooldown.
• please be courteous and kind !
• you are allowed to put chirrups anywhere (i.e. signature, toyhouse, etc), they just need a link back to the main thread.
• when buying acorns with pets/c$, please wait for me to confirm your trade before you go spending it! otherwise, when buying items they do not need confirmation from me.

ok so this uma will be ran leisurely, i like the lines a lot but i'll be the only artist working on them for quite a bit so please don't expect fast litters and/or breeding/exploration/etc for a while.

adoptions

this is where chirrups looking for a home will normally reside, towards the outskirts of the town! they wander around looking for a place to stay. Maybe there's a couple around here right now ... !

※ adoption rules

• i strive to make adopts in a litter both fcfs and raffle so if you miss out on fcfs, you will still have a chance at the raffle! (this might not be the case all the time tho!)
• you can edit your form for raffle adopts only, you cannot edit your form for fcfs adopts. quote your original post with the right number if someone took the adopt first ! if you edit your form, it will be disqualified.
• having said that, you can only swap the right number two times. any other times will be disqualified.
• litters have a tag that is easily searchable, and is different from fcfs form and raffle form. the tag for the corresponding adopt must be on there or you have a chance to be skipped! (the tag will not be the litter name.)
• the fcfs form is hidden until the litter is out and changed to avoid prefilling!
• you are only allowed to take 1 chirrup from a litter. if you get a fcfs chirrup, you cannot take a raffle one from the same litter!
• you can enter for several or all chirrups in a raffle.
• reserved chirrups cannot be won! theyve been preclaimed by someone by special means :] (artist pick, custom, etc)
• chirrups labelled "non-owners only" under them can only be won by others who don't have any chirrups yet!

the shelter is where rehomed chirrups wait here to become adopted by a new owner! do you just not connect to your chirrup anymore and wish to release them? well you've come to the right place!

※ please notice

• be 100% sure about releasing your chirrup, for you cannot change your mind afterward! once the chirrup is in the shelter and taken up by someone, i will not go out of my way to take away the chirrup from the new owner if you decide you want it back. there may be consequences if this happens.
• if you want to, you're also able to pm me the releasing form if youre uncomfortable posting it on the thread!

• chirrups here will normally be fcfs, so if you see one here make sure you want them and post quickly using the correct form and filling it out 100%.
• if there are multiple chirrups here, you can only claim one each drop!
