There isn't any limit to how long the stories can be, just be aware that many people won't have time to read the whole thing. Generally I see people tend to prefer the stories to be shorter, but there are still longer ones that get written and I know some enjoy reading the long stories. Its really just personal preference, but all that to say its totally fine to have a long story. You can also change it later on if you like, so if you get approved but later decide there is something you want to change in it thats still an option, there is a separate form on the thread just for that ^^

Hello, I'm here to ask for advice.
I want to participate in LOLO this year, for the first time. I'm already a bit late to the party and dressing up my pet and writing a story took longer than I anticipated.
Now I'm mostly done, but things got slightly out of hand.
Whenever I try to write, it either feels too short and stilted, or I get abducted by plot bunnies.
Can a LOLO story be too long? Mine's like...1900 words...
I can't decide if I should put in a few more days' work to re-write it and make it shorter, or say "this is as good as it gets, I'd just be wasting time 'improving' a story I'm already satisfied with" and go ahead and finally post my form.

My story started out at 1800 words and I just hacked and cut at it til it was closer to 900 x.x I feel your pain. I am bias but I love longer stories! I read them!

i like when a story is at least two paragraphs, personally.
if it is longer, do not forget your line breaks though
