Jeweled Dragon Foxes

JDFs come in a range of sizes - from being small like foxes to being larger than a house. They're usually friendly creatures, taking comfort in companionship and enjoying being around a variety of creatures.

They also secretly love belly rubs but don't let them know I told you that.

As for breeding? Yeah, we don't know how that happens. We know that they find these odd crystals and up to three JDFs will enter a cave with a moonlight opening and place the crystal and it transforms into 1-4 newly born JDFs.

FAQ / Rules

- Of course, all of CS rules apply.
- You can put your JDFs in your signature, take them offsite, etc - just make sure they link back here!
- Do not steal or claim ownership over a JDF that isn't yours.
- Do NOT edit the design or JDF image - you will receive a strike immediately.
- Arguing on the thread will receive a strike to both parties if it happens multiple times.
- Do not guilt trip, if you're caught guilt tripping multiple times, you will receive a strike.
- Make sure to read the rules for their own specific area.
- We're just here to chill and look at silly little pixels <3

What are JDFs?
Jeweled Dragon Foxes (JDFs) are a species I obtained back in 2019. They're a mix between a dragon and fox with a fascination with gems! (Originally just glowing spots, but I wanted them to be solid)

Are JDFs free?
Most of the time, yes! All adoptions will be FCFS unless stated otherwise.
However, sometimes artists may make store batches that are special and won't have any re-releases.

Could I turn my JDF into a sona/character?
That is entirely up to the artist that created them! So be sure to ask them.

What happens if I get striked/banned?
If you get a strike, nothing will happen - two strikes, and you'll be temporarily banned from JDFs. After your third strike, depending on what it was to cause it, your JDFs will be rehomed and you will be unable to participate with this community.
The same with immediate bans, if it comes to light in any way that you may make our community uncomfortable, you will be banned and your free JDFs will be rehomed.

I'm on the ban list, but I've never been part of this community?
As stated above - if we find out anything about a person and it's genuinely uncomfortable for us, we will ban without warning to keep our community safe. We will not disclose information about the ban either. We take bans seriously and with careful consideration.

Is there any other way to get gems?
Yes! After you get your first JDF, you can go scouting! Scouting is a good way to obtain currency without paying for it.

I want to step out of the community but keep my JDF, is that allowed?
Yes - if you speak to the artist first. Some artists might not want their JDFs to leave the species - and I will always respect their wishes.

Adoption!

- Unless otherwise stated, all JDFs are FCFS!
- Do NOT edit your post! Quote it instead, any edited forms will be considered void.
- Do not pre-fill your forms! The hex code changes every litter.
- You must put in the codeword yourselves, this is to ensure there's no prefilling.
- You may swap once after successfully obtaining a JDF.
- After obtaining a JDF, you cannot trade it for 3/three days.
- You may only adopt one per litter

I will go on and state that if you are banned (depending on circumstance), your JDFs will be rehomed unless they were paid for via Gems, C$, or USD. If you were banned but on decent terms/not for something extremely serious, you will be able to gift away your JDFs or take them on as characters/render them void.
