Skullies are a canine species that are maintained by an unknown magic. Both alive and not at the same time, their skulls and horns are made from bone. Black void and a colored pupil fill their eyes. Surrounded by a large ruff and soft to the touch fur, the species ranges in personality and are highly intelligent, possessing human speech. Ranging anywhere from three to six feet at the shoulder, befriending these creatures can be quite the feat and some can be trained to ride.

Rules
1:: I think this goes without saying but do not claim a skully that is not yours. Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.
2:: You may post a currency purchase form and an adoption form at the same time, but currency payment must be received within 24 hours or your adoption is void.
3:: Your claimed skully is yours to keep so long as you remain in good standing with Skullies UMA. They are your character to do with as you wish so long as you link back here (or in the event that you’re leaving CS entirely, we’ll figure out external linking). If you are banned, all non custom Skullies will be seized and put into the pound (or raffled in the case of Raffle Variants). Custom Skullies are yours to keep but will be stripped of their ID number and no longer recognized as an official skully and can not be traded.
4:: You may not sell your Skully for RL currency. If you wish to trade it for anything that’s fine but, that’s on you and I will not have any part of it.
5:: If you do not wish to keep your skully anymore, send me a PM and it will find a new home through the pound. You can not get a refund for abandoned skullies as pound skullies become free to adopt.
6:: Please do not put ‘any’ on your adoption form, it will be skipped.
7:: Treat others with kindness and respect. Hateful language of any kind will not be tolerated, including in the names of Skullies you own.
8:: News posts will be created if any further rules must be enacted and they become effective immediately.
9:: Please be patient with me. I am an adult with a full time job and a household to run. I can not guarantee when new litters, breedings, or customs will take place but will do my best!
10:: The most you may adopt from a single litter is 1 Skully. This is to hopefully make it easier for everyone to have access to one. Don't have bones? You can still post your adoption form for a 24 hour hold on that skully for you to get bones sorted out.

As stated in the first post, Skullies are highly intelligent canine-esq animals that range from 3-6 feet at the top of the shoulder. They come in a few different varieties that may be mixed and matched. The most common form is the type with a large, fluffy tail, long ears, and upright horns.

Exploring is a free activity that anyone with a Skully can participate in! Each user may explore once per rollover in one of the 8 different biomes that are currently discovered. Users can find items, companions, bones, custom ticket scraps, breeding rune fragments, and Skullies to take home with them. It does happen that sometimes, nothing is brought home.

Each biome carries unique boosts to what can be found there, though which boosts are where are up for speculation. For a complete guide as to available items and companions, you can check out the Item Archive.

The following biomes are currently open for exploration:





When a Skully returns from explore, a moderator will add any items gained to the User Item Storage Sheet and any companions gained to the User Companion Storage Sheet within 24 hours. Items and Companions are not automatically applied to the skully that brought them home. Please fill out the form found in the shop post to add these things to a particular skully.

There is a flat rate to breed skullies that is 50 bones. Each litter will produce 2 new skullies, no more, no less. Each pup will have its traits passed down from one of its parents with common variants showing up more frequently than uncommon or rare ones. Designs and colors will be influenced by the parents (and littermates if applicable. Variations are not influenced by littermates).

For example, if you are breeding a fluffy tail skully with a bobbed tail skully, you have a 75% chance to have a fluffy tailed pup and a 25% chance to have a bobbed tail pup.

If you breed a skinny tail to a bobbed tail, you have a 60% chance to get skinny and a 40% to get bobbed. The same ratio would apply to a fluffy x skinny (60% fluffy, 40% skinny).

This is rolled for each of the two pups in the litter and there is no guarantee that you will hit the odds for the more rare variety.

If you breed two parents with the same variation, all pups will have that trait. (IE - breeding two bobbed tails will give you all bobbed tails.)

It is possible but exceedingly rare to have a brand new variation appear within your litter.

You must have two compatible skullies in order to beed (see chart below) in order to breed. They do not have to both be yours but the other owner must post that they are okay with you breeding to their skully by quoting your breeding form and giving permission.

Whoever pays for the litter, owns the litter. If they choose to give away, trade, or sell the pups, that is their prerogative and is in no way controlled by thread staff. If you are found to be harassing a litter owner to give you one of their pups, you will be banned. If you chose to split the cost of a litter, please decide amongst yourselves civilly who will be taking which skully, please and thank you. We will not get in between a split litter decision but we will not tolerate fighting, either.

Breeding slots are unlimited, and they will simply be added on as forms arrive. We try to get to them in a oldest to newest order but sometimes, depending on who picked up the litter and work schedules, this may not be the case, please have patience.

Custom skullies are fairly straight forward. You may request any known variation (see species info) but there are no additional edits that will be done to the lines. It may not be of any existing CS pet or privately owned IP (IE - Pokemon) and may only be of another adoptable species if that adoptable species allows for it. It may be inspired by another skully litter but will never be an exact copy.

Have a pre-existing character you want done as a skully? No problem. Want to give your artist creative freedom? That’s fine too. We do ask for some guidelines so that you walk away happy.

Custom skullies cost 800 bones (160 C$ or $10 USD) but if your requested design is extremely complicated, that price may go up. (USD Commissions May choose Raffle or Breed Only traits). USD Commissions will always be completed by Riley and are not limited to the slots below.

This is an update to the News on Page 380 and if you aren't caught up there yet, I do recommend that you do so before getting into this one!

After some back and forth in both the poll here, and the poll on Discord, while it is a narrow margin, Skullies will be moving to Lioden. The projected timeline for this is roughly January 10th, but as we are still waiting for LD Moderation to get back to us regarding an organizational issue with our various different threads, I do not have an exact date for this move just yet. There will be an additional, smaller news post when this date is confirmed.

At this time, there will not be any further litters released on Chicken Smoothie, with the final run here being the holiday Flocked raffle. To tide us over during the move, there will be raffles on our Discord of some skullies, items, and even bones that a user generously donated. Some of these are even Legacy Skullies with IDs under 100!

As stated previously even if you do not plan to follow us to our new home, your breeding and custom orders will be honored. We will keep this aspect open for about a month after we move to allow people to put additional requests in if they are remaining here. They will not be bumped further down the list or anything of the sort, we do just ask for the same patience you have always given us in terms of turnaround time. All of our staff are adults with lives as well.

Explore will, for now, be remaining on CS and open until we move. Once we officially move, Explore will be hosted in the Discord so even if you're still here on CS, you can still participate! Dressups will continue to be honored through the Discord as well for CS users and we will do our best to arrange something so that you can get breedings done in there as well, we're going to play that one by ear.

In regards to Bones, at this time, Bone trades are limited to WL Pets, WL Items, and C$ only. This is to hopefully slow things down a little bit. Even if you are moving with us, you are still welcome to trade things in for bones here, and if you wanted to stock on bones even if you're staying, I won't stop you, but I will remind you that bones are non-refundable. Please make smart, informed decisions when making these choices. Once we move, it will no longer be possible to purchase bones on CS to head off-site trading off at the pass.

As always, thank you all so much for taking this journey with us. Things have been a little nuts trying to figure out where we're going and what we're doing, but everyone has been so supportive and we can't thank you enough.

As many of you have seen, there has been an update from the Chicken Smoothie Discord Server about having a strict set of profile regulations, even in your personal accounts. I understand that this decision was made for them by CS moderation but it is not something that I stand behind.

Profiles do indeed have to fit community guidelines through Skullies, but as this is a private space, I will not be enforcing the militaristic stands set yesterday. Some people are choosing to make dedicated CS accounts and I respect that, but as this is a private space, it's just not something I'm going to be doing.

We've had a night or so to do some discussing and have come to the conclusion that Skullies will be leaving CS in roughly 2 weeks time (give or take, I don't have an exact date for this). We will NOT be closing. We will simply be moving sites.

As of right now, there are two main options for where we move to:

Lioden and Wolvden: Lioden is a lion pride sim, with its sister site, Wolvden, being a wolf sim site. Breed, trade, explore, monthly events, hunting, mini games, and a whole other host of things. It has a strong active daily user base of over 2000 people at most times during the day. Your lions/wolves do age (there is a bit more realism to Wolvden that can include things like illness and injury) and it is based upon a daily rollover. Meaning that when the server resets, you have the option to remain in stasis until you're ready to play again, or continue on to the next day with everyone else.

Lioden would be main priority for the first little bit of time, with Wolvden being integrated later on down the road as they are both owned by the same company and cross trading between is very easy to do. They seem to have a small but somewhat active community for UMAs on Lioden and we would likely be a dominating force in the scene, take of that what you will. For those people who do not want to play daily on Lioden, we would be hosting explore here in Discord if we go this route so people don't have to roll over their accounts to new days just to do one thing with us. There is the perk of having a "Clan" on lioden where new members can come and gain items, a built in raffle system, and a few other perks just for being in the clan for free. This site would be pretty quick for us to set up on as myself and 3 other staff members (and regular members) are highly familiar with the site.



Flight Rising: Flight Rising is a dragon sim that focuses on breeding. They do have a combat system in the Coliseum, trading, item collecting, monthly events, etc. The economy is a little more jacked up here than it is on Lioden/Wolvden so that will have to be something that we take into account as things then to go for a lot of Real Money Currency and it will take me some doing to get out Bones mini currency transferred here properly.

I feel like this is still a good option however and don't want to disclude it. It's more relaxed of a daily play experience than Lioden/Wolvden is and that may appeal to some people. A negative here is that they allow only one thread per UMA, so things like Item Image Archive, trading, and Staff Applications would now be hosted in here and we would become a bit more heavily reliant on Discord, which isn't a bad thing at all, it's just something to note. This site would take a little bit longer to set up on because of the transfer of things like the Image Archive and such, and some time to figure out how to properly manage the mini currency but in the end, it could absolutely be done.

What does this mean for the CS User Base? - While I will keep our mini currency trading open for some time, it would go to WL only pets, and you might only find this useful if you plan to move with us to whatever new site we transfer to. If you decide not to follow us, we entirely understand and still love you. You are a valued member of this community and can remain in the discord if you so choose. At some point once we are well established on the new site, the CS thread will shut down with re-direction to wherever we now are. You will still retain ownership of you skullies, all back logged breedings and customs will still be honored, and you will keep all of your bones. If you want to use your bones to buy items, breedings, customs, etc while we are moving, I would highly recommend that you do so!

Skullies operate with bone currency! Below you’ll see the exchange rate for bones. Bones are used to adopt skullies from new litters, breed, and purchase customs.
