-Liminal spaces and those "nostalgic images" compilations on YouTube. I'm a nostalgic being at my core so anything from around 2000-2017 or the 1920s-1940s is just really soothing to look at or remember. Even though the 1920s-1940s stuff is more aesthetic than anything I personally remember, I'm not that old, haha!
-Nighttime in the winter, particularly when the sky is blue and when it's snowing. I'm not sure it's "strange" per se but it reminds me of when I was a child and would go to malls or shopping centres with my parents, and when we'd spend the whole day there and it would be nighttime when we left.
-Rick and Morty. It's probably super strange that it's as comforting as it is considering the content of the show, but I would always watch it in binge sessions with my mother when I was a younger teenager, around 2015 or 2016ish. Reminds me of when times were simpler and when I was happier.
-Music that's considered "Weirdcore" or "Internetcore". The Caretaker, Instupendo, Bo En, Bo Burnham, stuff like that.
-Swing music or Dark Cabaret, or anything with that sort of feel. Shayfer James, The Cog is Dead, This Way to the Egress, the usual.
-Deer! One of my favourite OCs is a deer and he's become such a comfort to me that the entire animal as a whole just makes me feel safe and happy lol
-The song Sick Crowd by Teddy Hyde. Would recommend this song and any of the artists I've mentioned in this reply!
-White noise from a fan, or the static from old TV or radios.
