(Edit) Three things-

-Liminal spaces, like, the ones that feel oddly familiar or give you déjà vu. They're just so nice to look at and I can't really put my finger on why.

-Horror game ambience. The stuff from Silent Hill especially. Obviously it's meant to feel unnerving, but it just...doesn't to me? I fall asleep to it all the time.

-Louis Wain's cat art. Have no idea on how to elaborate on this one, it just makes me happy.

Ah sweet. Manmade horrors beyond my comprehension.

Cal here with weird things. I had this book about whaling I read when I was like 8, and ever since then, harpoons and whaling have been a very unusual comfort to me.

I'm not sure if this is actually strange, but classical music. Also, occasional opera music gets in the mix.

Since I was a baby, my mom would play the same classical music CD over and over for me to fall asleep. I no longer have the CD but I now listen to classical music every time I sleep since it's so comforting and feels safe. Since I listen to the Alexa classical playlist (ultimate classical! it's not bad!) sometimes there's also opera music in there and I found that I actually really love listening to opera while I sleep as well (it's like falling asleep to the music of angels I think, haha).

-Liminal spaces and those "nostalgic images" compilations on YouTube. I'm a nostalgic being at my core so anything from around 2000-2017 or the 1920s-1940s is just really soothing to look at or remember. Even though the 1920s-1940s stuff is more aesthetic than anything I personally remember, I'm not that old, haha!

-Nighttime in the winter, particularly when the sky is blue and when it's snowing. I'm not sure it's "strange" per se but it reminds me of when I was a child and would go to malls or shopping centres with my parents, and when we'd spend the whole day there and it would be nighttime when we left.

-Rick and Morty. It's probably super strange that it's as comforting as it is considering the content of the show, but I would always watch it in binge sessions with my mother when I was a younger teenager, around 2015 or 2016ish. Reminds me of when times were simpler and when I was happier.

-Music that's considered "Weirdcore" or "Internetcore". The Caretaker, Instupendo, Bo En, Bo Burnham, stuff like that.

-Swing music or Dark Cabaret, or anything with that sort of feel. Shayfer James, The Cog is Dead, This Way to the Egress, the usual.

-Deer! One of my favourite OCs is a deer and he's become such a comfort to me that the entire animal as a whole just makes me feel safe and happy lol

-The song Sick Crowd by Teddy Hyde. Would recommend this song and any of the artists I've mentioned in this reply!

-White noise from a fan, or the static from old TV or radios.

Oddly enough, the music from FNAF: Security Breach is surprisingly soothing. In particular, the Rockstar Row theme. I know it’s a horror game, but that theme is… oddly comforting.

My hoodie. But I can't wear it because it's too hot. I wouldn't call it strange. But I wanted to say it lol

- weirdcore/dreamcore/etc music that just has that, soft and calming feel to it. it helps so much to calm me down.
- i guess this also goes into this category but calming soundtracks from nintendo games as well

- the sound of my fan and the wind that blows from it
- also the sound of nature, especially if i'm in the shade around trees and the like.
(i guess these two arent really strange lol)

- weirdcore images that have nature's influence in some way, i.e. a ferris wheel taken by overgrowth on a gray cloudy day, empty ski lifts during a heavy snowstorm, etc

- pictures or art of toro inoue and his friends

ooh!
i love listening to really long analysis videos, or video documentaries. Its something to fill the silence when i'm not in a music mood, and listening to somebody passionately talk about something for 30+ minutes is really fun kajsdf;lkajsk

also the ambience noises in FNAF games! like the stuff in fnaf 1 that plays when they're nothing going on is SPOOPY and I sleep to it on a regular basis.
