With personal experience I feel as the Pintaloosa and White Appaloosa are little low in the list. I only found 4 people with Pintaloosa nd 1 with the White Appaloosa when I set off and my search for it. 3 out of the 4 didn't want to trade it and the 1 with the Appaloosa it was a quiting player. But I searched 100s of accounts on that search. Not saying it's worth more just saying it's extremely hard to find.

Since the tiers are based on rarity change date, I don't think they're going to be moved. It's likely that the horses are a bit more popular since they're natural colored and are in locked collections. It seems that people who like to collect the horses, really like the natural colored ones. I know people like natural colored pets of all species, it just seems especially true with horses.

I got a closer look at the updates and I saw that the 09' Christmas tree is colored on the non-pictured list, but not colored on the pictured list. I think the tree is in a weird position where its demand sharply rises around the holidays, though I agree that it should be colored.

Yes, it's mostly more popular because of that. I just like horses and thought it looked cool and I seem the tree go for a ok amount. I got mine from a quiting player so I don't know much about it.

Honestly I don't understand this guide at all lol 😂 so there's that problem why I don't know how to trade but I agree with what everyone saying about 2:1 rule is like and update on that cause I got a lot of uncommon dogs and a lot of wishlist rares that are now impossible to achieve at my standpoint of not knowing how to trade fairly people are rude to me too like I kindly shaky with anxiety offer and they say that was so unfair but sometimes I know it was fair. Sorry rambling anyways how exactly is this guide gonna improve with demand so high?

I haven't looked at all the new stuff, but I want to show some appreciation for the "4:1 uncommon:rare" information. I have been doing 5:1 for a long time (with 4:1 for older dates). I've been dealing with reducing rares to uncommons for a long time and I've based my trading on the only ratios we were given,even if they're old.

Agreed! I’ve always valued rares at 3-5 uncommons, depending on the specific species involved. I get really frustrated by all of the people saying 2 uncommons = 1 rare. If you want to trade that way, awesome! But that’s not how the majority trade, and I feel like it’s misleading.

Also, I want to give some love to the +2 method for determining rarities between years. That’s roughly what I’ve been using for large year gaps, but I wasn’t that specific. It was just sort of “by feel”. I like having a spelled out guideline.

I’m not sure how I feel about it for smaller gaps, though. For pets within a year or two, I use the 2:1 rule, so for example 4 ‘12 rares = 1 ‘10 rare. Which feels reasonable to me. I honestly don’t know that I’d be willing to trade 1 ‘12 rare + 4 ‘22 rares for a ‘10 rare. It would definitely take some adjustment.

Honestly, it’s tough because I think the +2 rule makes more sense, but I’ve used the doubling rule for so long (for small year gaps only…I’ve never liked it for big gaps) that switching it up would feel strange.

sorry for the delay in the past week or so on the update, I just flew back home last weekend and I wanted at least one night of sleep before working on this again


anyway, the rarity list for VRs is fully updated. I'll post a full "changelog" post here once the whole threads finished with all the details and reasoning, but basically just some tiers were merged/renamed and the rest of cs' VRs were added. This doesn't make these pets more valuable, it just keeps the rarity list in-line with the rest of the update so you can see where your pet stands instead of it being ignored entirely by this thread and you having to search elsewhere just to find out about it. The pets in the tiers that have been merged or renamed also do not change in value, the changes basically only affects what they were referred to as. The larger tiers helps make trading a little less rigid, makes some of the previously small tiers less redundant, and also now makes some of these pets be placed more accurately to the rarity data we have than they were before. (I also needed more post space to add the other things by putting them together, the 2019 update chunk broke the CS post character-limit when I added it to another bit lol)

The demand post for these pets is still being worked on, so some pets are still missing from it, and the trade data links/proof for their values will also be edited back in. The whole post is (i hope) a little more streamlined, but there's still a ton of pets! so searching for their name is still encouraged. I search all these pets individually and on more than just the STT alone, so forgive me if this takes a little while longer to update than the rest!

The store pet post is also still being worked on though will probably be finished sooner than the above

An updated C$ post will also be finished eventually. The most basic parts are still there just so it's not completely useless or empty for now

You may see a few tiny updates here and there on the other posts but they should otherwise be usable

Good update and a lot of the concerns (read: nitpicks really) I had were addressed. Though the demand post is still a bit tightly packed - little bit more added spacing would make it a bit more readable!
