You set your cave shroom out the previous night, hoping to wake up the next day to see if it attracted anything...Unfortunately you find it untouched in the morning . It rained quite hard recently, so maybe the scent got washed away? Leave it out again and hopefully something will find it soon, as it still smells horrendous.

You go out into the forest to search for your moonstone and realize that, after all that rain last night, it is quite muddy and the nearby creek is nearly overflowing! You catch a glimpse of movement in the corner of your eye and are surprised to see a pair of eyes blinking on what appears to be a moving pile of mud. Helping the wingless bantam wash off, it rushes off without even a thank you...but soon returns with your moonstone in its mouth. They hid it to protect it from the mud and are very grateful for your rescue from the mud
