as medicine cat, hawksight is unfortunately burdened with horrible visions. always unsure how to interpret them, he immediately goes to the worst of the worst and takes them all as bad omens. it isn't like they're all bad, but when a vision does come through he just happens to think that the entire clan is doomed, resulting in some, very tiring, reassurance from viperstar.

timberbrook is a special rank that sunclan has, which is a perennial queen! these queens train themselves in kitcare and make it their mission to serve as mothers for orphaned kits, teach new queens how to care for kits as well as to not be nervous about having kits for the first time, and to replenish the clan with new kits of their own! while these queens have a love for kits and helping the clan, the unfortunately have an early retirement age due to health reasons, as in the past some perennial queens who had kits over the age of 50 moons passed early on due to the kits. but, even with this early retirement, timberbrook has been ready to take on this rank and is excited to be on her journey of a perennial queen!

"Snowbreeze, it's your turn to patrol the Lion's Mouth." The sentence made Snowbreeze freeze in her spot amongst the other cats in the council meeting, she absolutely hated patrolling the Lion's Mouth. Any cat would, and does, but personally to Snowbreeze, she thinks that she hates it the most amongst her council clanmates. The council in Sunclan was made up of the top warriors, as well as the deputy and medicine cats. While the medicine cats don't patrol, the others do, and being the deputy Snowbreeze unfortunately was, more often than not, given the Lion's Mouth to patrol.
She of course, didn't argue with Viperstar, no matter how many times she was given the job she always respected her leader and did as she was told. She wandered the length of the territory to the large (and very terrifying) cave on the edge of the southern border to patrol the area. Why didn't she go with anyone else, you might ask? Well, Snowbreeze isn't sure why only council members are allowed to patrol the Lion's Mouth and Eagle's Nest, but she's heard plenty of terrifying kit stories about cats adventuring in and never returning. So, perhaps that might be why.
Snowbreeze shivered slightly as a cool breeze swept through her pelt before making a low rumbling noise from inside the cavern she was peering down into. "Why do I always do this?" She muttered to herself, more so referring to how she always spent about a minute staring deep into the cave as if she was going in, rather than actually patrolling the area. She wasn't even sure why she hated patrolling this area so much when she didn't have to step foot into the cave. Maybe it was the stories, or the weird noises that came from the dark that scared her half to death, but she was scared and she hated patrolling the Lion's Mouth. She turned her gaze away from the cavern to start patrolling the border, padding slowly around the gaping hole in the ground as she made her way to sniff the border line, going all the way down and as far away from the Lion's Mouth as she could before, unfortunately, going back up to the cave because that was the easiest way to return to camp. Nothing was out of the ordinary in terms of other cats being on Sunclan territory, so she lifted her head with a slight smile, proud of herself. She peered at the dark cavern one last time before turning her back, ready to leave.
But it all happened so fast, one moment she was fearless, proud of herself for patrolling that area again without plunging into the dark depths, and the next there was a horrid sound from behind her and she was making a mad dash with her tail between her legs like a kit all the way back to camp, fearing for her life.
This is exactly why she hated patrolling the Lion's Mouth. [500 words]
