Q: are fennakins free to adopt?
A: almost always! fennakins AND pixelkins are usually acquired through completing a task provided by the artist such as; drawing prompt, writing a backstory, giving a personality, random number picker, etc…

Q: what does RPG mean then??
A: RPG is an acronym for “a roleplay game”, and fennakins is pretty much just that! the point of this species, is to come up with your own little stories for them, and create entire worlds for them to live in. if you’re just here for the cute pet-collecting aspect, that’s okay too!

Q: why are some fennakins on their normal bases versus some are entirely different animals?
A: fennakins won’t always be on their original base, or even look primarily like foxes. fennakins are a mix of multiple unknown universal species, so they can really look almost like anything; foxes are much more commonly seen.

about fennakins!
.. fennakins are spread out across the universe, capable of adapting to any environment they find themselves in. these calm and friendly creatures will not do well on their own! most fennakins will build small villages and live near each other. they are considered to be closely related to vulpes and canids, but are an evolved mutation of multiple unknown universal species. as an omnivore, they can process most plantae and meat. some fennakins may only require sunlight and water as a food resource depending on their growth rarities. this species is quite small, standing at around 2-3 feet tall for females, and 3’4-4’4 ft. tall for males. [the lineart does not convey this!] — fennakins do not typically hunt their own food, they will scavenge from anything they can find. not only do they scavenge food, they love to explore and forage for items and trinkets! you can send your fennakin to explore one time per day, and who knows… maybe they’ll bring some really cool stuff back!

these are still a wip, but here are some base and ABSOLUTE rules for owning a pet from this species.

in order to begin collecting fennakins, you must first follow the instructions on the archives page
1.) you CANNOT sell/trade any fennakin to someone outside of CS. they must own a CS account, and be aware of these rules.
2.) you can post your fennakins anywhere! but you must link to the species. if you can’t link the CS post, link the Discord. if you can’t link either, then please just give credit!
3.) do not claim the fennakins species as your own. of course, i can’t claim a fox as mine, and can’t tell you that you can’t make a fox-like oc, but all OFFICIAL fennakins will have a [fk] watermark somewhere.
4.) you cannot make edits to the fennakin, as it will be placed into an official archive with the original fennakin. if you want edits made, you must buy an item from the shop and post a form! this does not mean your form is guaranteed to be accepted, so be careful!

Q: are fennakins an open species?
A: no! they are not. you can’t make your own fennakin unless you have a MYO ticket from the shop or an event, or purchase a custom.
Q: can i ask for specific artists to draw my custom?
A: usually… no. if the artist specifically states that they will do custom requests, then yes!
Q: can i trade/sell my fennakins or items for other fennakins, items or currency?
A: yep! make sure you post all forms on the trading & transfer thread, or in the respective Discord channel.
Q: can i come up with my own lore and stories outside of the main story?
A: yes!!! this is highly encouraged. you can make up your own prey, planets, universe, predators, other species on the planet, your own villages, maps, npcs … etc! you have full creative liberty! please make sure you put all the information in a thread, as it will be your fennakin archive
