Teddy was determined to find gems for the Squinx, and ventured down a tunnel that looked as if it had been disused for years. They came to a fork -- a cold draft coming from the one on the left, and a warm breeze from the one on the right. Which should they go down?

Teddy hesitated. He peered down the cold tunnel and shivered before deciding to go to the right where he could feel the warm breeze..

Teddy crept through the warm tunnel, sure that it must be a way back to the surface. He was tired from his search for gems, and was ready to return to the others. He was sure he was nearing the exit, when suddenly the tunnel split again! Feeling helpless and lost, in his panic he didn't even notice the soft glow coming up from behind him until he felt fur brush his own. He turned hastily to see a Squitten, their fur shining like the gems he searched for. Without a word, they walked down one of the tunnels, and Teddy followed. It wasn't ten minutes before he noticed the ground sloping up, and soon he could see the distant spot of sunlight! He thanked the Squitten for showing him the way out.

Aqua started down the left tunnel, uncertainty building in her mind as her surroundings remained unchanging. It twisted and turned without her ever running into another volunteer -- and without ever seeing the gems she searched for. It was just... an empty tunnel. She was preparing to turn back when suddenly, much further down, she spotted a glowing light. Aqua stopped in her tracks as the light grew closer and closer, until eventually she could make out what it was. It was a Squik! It came up to her without hesitation and said that the tunnel came to a dead further ahead, and asked if they could walk back with her. Aqua agreed, and together they left the tunnel.
