Three of my cats died in 2021 in less than a month from unpreventable ailments.
May 22: died from cancer.
June 7: he was a rescue and it was determined he had had dormant Feline Leukemia before I got him, and his kidneys were failing so he had to be euthanized before his organs shut down and caused pain.
June 22: 18+ year old cat died in her sleep of old age.

Really hoping 2022 will be a better year but I definitely don't want to jinx it.

There's a couple things, animal videos, certain video games (especially pokemon/bloons/nostalgic games/etc), stuffed animals, doing things mindfully also usually helps (i.e. eating without distractions, holding a plushie and handling the texture, etc) especially if there's some digress of anxiety/dissociation with it

Nowadays I tend to make onigiri balls. It's quick, filling and super good whenever I'm feeling stressed out or whatnot.
If I'm really lazy, I'll jump on whatever junk food Uber eats will deliver ...


^ Alfredo pasta without chicken is good too. I don't know what ingredients you have but perhaps you can try a pesto sauce or a Bolognese instead ?

v do you have any historical fun facts? time periods you like? or do you not enjoy history?

I do enjoy history but I primarily love prehistory/natural history! Although my father is a historian so I have heard many a fact about various time periods while I grew up. One of my favourites has to be the aztec empire and their story about how they came to be. It's a bit of a long one but in it they were taken in by a another tribe to perform favours for them in return for shelter/food but were kicked out after a marriage ceremony made the tribes leader mad. (Spoiler: they married his daughter to their god but they had to make her a skin suit to do so...) They got kicked out and forced to find home elsewhere, and that elsewhere happened to be in the middle of what was essentially a swamp! There's obviously more to that and I am joking in some parts but essentially that was a part of their "origin story" lol.

david gordon green's halloween (soon to be a trilogy the third movie releases later this year) and the scream franchise!! scream 3 was meh tho. i would also say the saw franchise but most of the movies beyond 3 are pretty boring.
