Day 13Username: Shuurock
Clan link:The PridePrompt:While The Pride may start migrating later, for the time being they try and stay in their initial camp for the winter. However their camp is often filled with snow, in order to try and fight this they weave branches and leaves around the edges of their camp to create a wall that will keep snow out.
Initially these walls fall because of the great amount of snow, but by the end of winter the walls are big enough that it can hold up the snow drifts and keep the camp cleaner.

Clan link:CraterclanPrompt:How do your cats prepare for the season? Do they migrate? Or perhaps just reinforce the camp before it’s too cold out?The hardest part of Craterclan’s winter is how dry it is, so their preparation is all about scouting out potential water sources. Whether that be small rodent’s burrows or small lakes (that are more like puddles), trees’ roots where water can sit for a day or two. The sun also sits lower in the sky, to the west so they move to the burrows that sit more to the west side of the crater and store what they can of any water in those. winters are always very hard but the joy and relief that washes over the camp when it finally rains, is a feeling no cat can forget.

Clan link: GlacialclanPrompt:GlacialClan does migrate for the winter, they head down from their mountain cave to a little clearing further down that's surrounded by thick brush and brambles. The lower elevation means they get less snow and a little bit warmer weather, and that is always appreciated. It's a process to get their secondary camp ready for the winter, so cats will start traveling there and back in leaffall so they can reinforce the dens to keep out the cold and get plenty of moss, ferns, and feathers to get their nests ready.

Day 13Username: Tharmora
Clan link: Storm KnightsPrompt: The Storm Knights spend time reinforcing the camp for the winter. Since the clan is still growing and they only have one proper building set up in the keep, Queen Stormy welcomes any cats who don't have proper lodging into her home with her. The Knights spend the prior weeks gathering enough herbs for the healers, and plenty of extra food for the rabbits. Since the Knights don't migrate, the hunters of the clan have grown used to finding food in the winter, however prey is scarce. The Storm Knights have grown accustomed to rationing food, leaving extra for the elderly and younger cats.

Day 13Username: /nyx.
Clan link: CaladiumClan
Prompt:
they don't migrate away from the snow — those of the caladium migrate towards it. moving from the spire to the ferals and vice versa is an annual tradition for raptors; they do it in honor of the sprawling kingdom and, of course, in respect to the condor. as for preparations, they don't do anything in particular. youth learn as they go, no special lessons needed. life itself is the best teacher, is it not? it's hardest for the wings, honestly — they can't bring their herbs with them, and most often, whatever they leave in storage is gone by the time the clan returns back to homeground.

Clan link: The RoundtailsPrompt:The cats of the round table have a relatively weatherproof camp base already, living in a castle and all. It can still get freezing at times however, so the cats will usually search and collect all the moss and other soft things they can to make their nests a little bit warmer in the cold months. Some cats take to making winter nests in the old human things in the castle too, although not all do as some still prefer the good old fashioned moss and leaf nests.
Knights will often cover up their outposts with branches or long grass above them as a makeshift roof to keep out any falling snow from landing on their heads while keeping watch.

Day 13Username: quirky;
Clan link: The PrincipalityPrompt: The Principality usually tucks the vulnerable cats into a safe den, normally packed with moss and bird down, and the others just stick it out til the end of the season. The heavy armor most of the Knights and Sentries wear tends to help keep out the cold, but the occasional gust of icy wind makes them shiver. The surrounding villages just stay inside as much as possible. Sadly the band of rogues doesn't have that nice option. [ 78 words ]

Clan link: galactic skiesPrompt: cats will go excessive hunting before it begins to snow which could be in the fall. Living close to the mountains means times are harsh in winter and they are best prepared. Cats will collect more moss and herbs and make sure they know how to keep the medicine cat water warm and how to chip at ice on the rivers if they need more. Walls and dens are reinforced incase of heavy snow with sticks and rocks and clay. Even so they wish to the stars that they will be able to have an easy and forgiving winter.

Prompt: Luckily for Ocean Clan, the weather usually doesn't drop below three degrees! Ocean Clan members live in an intricate tunnel system which makes it much easier for them to sustain heat during the cold times of leaf-fall. What causes more worry for the clan members and nursing mothers are the freezing waters that are just barely out of becoming ice. Considering their camp and tunnel system home, they live right beside the bay, forcing anxiety and nervousness against the young mothers who have to enforce it on their kits that it is extra dangerous to leave camp and sit beside the water.
Thankfully, though, they never truly have very harsh winters and most of the time have to only worry about catching sicknesses on patrols and hunting expeditions.
