However, if you still have a design in your saved WIPs that you enjoy, you may be able to use that design elsewhere or treat it like an MYO; just message me about it first
On February 4th, 10:00 AM PST, I will be deleting the server and fully closing down this species, with no plan to return to it.
I know in the past that I have done that a lot, "I'm going to shut the species down" and then not actually do it, but this time I do mean it. This species has been fun, but it has been slowly declining in interest and activity over the years. Wolfons has been a project of mine for a while, and... really I thought it would last longer, and I thought I would have a lot more fun with it. Yes, the beginning years were nice, but we are at the point where I as an owner am no longer doing anything to keep it alive, and staff are either busy with real life or have interest elsewhere. I myself am almost fully disconnected with the species, and frankly I've learned that I am unable to properly run a species without excessive guidance from other people. Also, as you all may have noticed, I have fallen behind on species-related things that I told myself I was going to do; the last event we had was for Pride month, and that was in June of 2023. My last adopt was in September of 2023, and that was over 5 months ago. For 5 months, I have not even looked at my own species adopts or at all been motivated to create more.
Maybe this seems drastic, or sudden... and, well, it kind of is. I have been thinking on this for a while, but only now have I finally brought it up to any of you. Perhaps there are steps I could take to keep the species alive, but I feel like at that point we are trying to revive something that's already been dead for a year. So, I think the best step here is to leave it all behind and move on to other things.
Thank you to staff for doing the best you can to keep this species a fun and safe place, and thank you to the members here for sticking with us and showing interest in this species. I apologize that it has to end this way, but I do hope you all understand.
