Bleubs [Dasyurus bleublae] are a unique species of marsupial recently discovered in remote temperate forest regions. Their key characteristic is a soft and squishy underbelly, tail, nose, and inner ear, which have a texture similar to that of peach fuzz. It is believed these soft patches evolved as a sort of external pouch, though Bleubs still have belly pouches to carry their young, which are called joeys.

Bleubs walk similarly to a kangaroo, placing most of their weight on their tail and back legs, which are extremely strong. Their paws are mustelid in nature, making Bleubs surprisingly stealthy. They can grow to be a maximum of 5 feet tall when standing on their hind legs, but are on average 2 to 4 feet tall. Bleub tongues may vary depending on their diet, which is mainly herbivorous, but are most often fat and sticky like a gecko. Some variations include tongues that have a sandpaper texture like cats, slender forked tongues like snakes, and long, almost prehensile tongues similar to that of a giraffe. Bleub vocalization is bovine in nature, and most of their calls are somewhere in between a moo and a bleat.

Very friendly and loved for their soft fur and skin, Bleubs have been growing in popularity, encouraging the spread of their adoption, especially in herds as livestock or as companion animals.

by interacting with the Bleub community to any capacity you are agreeing to obey the rules and guidelines set in place. you understand that by participating in the species you are expected to follow the rules and if you do not you accept the consequences which may result in a ban and revocation of your Bleubs.


• Bleubs are a closed species, non-staff members cannot make their own Bleubs without a custom voucher

• you may own as many Bleubs as you like

• you may roleplay/draw your Bleubs

• a Bleub cannot be your fursona, unless you have special permission from the species owner and the artist that created it

• Bleubs can be any romantic/sexual orientation or religion

• unless you are a member of Bleub staff, you may not use Bleub lines to sell designs - you may offer your services to create a design for another user, but you cannot pre-make designs for profit - designs on other bases may not be transferred onto Bleub lines without special permission from the species owner and the artist of the original design

• guilt tripping of any kind is strictly prohibited and may result in a strike or ban

• please refrain from min-modding Bleub threads, that is what our moderators are for - feel free to contact a staff member if you have any questions, comments, or concerns

• banned members may have their Bleubs revoked and readopted depending on the severity of the situation

• after reading the rules, highlight and copy/paste the text in the empty line directly below this bullet point for an important message

• Bleub staff have the right to modify species rules at any time - the community will be notified of major changes with an update post, but users are encouraged to re-read the rules every so often

• above all else, be kind and respectful to everyone in the Bleub community, harassment of any kind will not be tolerated




• do not remove artist signatures

• you may add as many accessories as you wish - or change the expression - on your Bleub's ref, as long as you maintain an itemless reference

• editing your Bleub's lines (hair, colors, markings etc.) without the use of an edit item is prohibited

• you cannot revamp or change your Bleub's design UNLESS it was a custom you created / commissioned for yourself (meaning you are the first and only owner), the Bleub has not been bred, and you've received permission from the species owner (and if the Bleub was not designed by you, the original artist)

- this is limited to ONE revamp of a design



• you may trade, gift or readopt your Bleubs if you so choose

• co-ownership of Bleubs is not allowed

• readoptions must be held publicly, and once a Bleub is put up for readoption and entries have been made, a winner must be chosen and the host cannot back out - the Bleub must then be gifted to the selected winner

• if obtained as a free adoptable or gift, you cannot sell or purchase a Bleub for any type of payment (c$ - dA points - usd - art - pets - ect.)

• if obtained as a paid adoptable or nursery batch, you may sell or purchase Bleubs, but for no more than their original price (or equivalent in art) and in the same currency (c$ - dA points - usd - art - pets - ect.) unless the Bleub has a significant amount of art

- any artist terms of service override this rule
• free or paid adoptables may be traded or gifted

- Bleubs that have been gifted to a user may not be sold, even if they were originally obtained as a paid adoptable



• Bleubs can be any sexual/romantic orientation

• Bleubs can breed with one or two other Bleubs, so long as the owners all agree to it

• Bleubs can breed twice in their lifespan

• inces​tuous relationships or relationships involving adults and joeys are prohibited

• joeys may be grown after 2 weeks

• nursery batches can have one or two joeys, determined by random chance

• you must wait two weeks after a breeding to be able to breed your Bleub again

• you must wait one week after obtaining a new Bleub to be able to breed it

• all nursery slots must be posted publicly on the nursery thread, whether the slots being offered are free or paid. you may not directly message an artist to request a breeding.



• growths for joeys will be completed by official growth artists to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Bleub joeys may be grown after 2 weeks, but you are free to keep them as a baby for as long as you wish

• owners may reach out to growth artists whenever they wish for their joey to be grown, or keep an eye out for openings posted by growth artists on the fanclub. growth artists reserve the right to decline growths if they so wish.

• growths will be available through both free and paid means, and growth artists can take paid growths through the ticket system

• custom Bleubs are only available through custom vouchers, which can be obtained via the Bleub Shop (open once every three months) or through staff members who are selling custom vouchers earned through the ticket system

• customs can be made by anyone, but must be approved by a staff member


your time and work are valued and there are no strict expectations concerning the amount of work you do for the species (outside of some limitations to ensure there is not an abundance of incomplete work). your compensation directly reflects your labor and you are encouraged to participate to whatever capacity you feel comfortable with. if after a six month time period you become inactive we will reach out and ask if you are still interested in being a member of staff for the species, then proceed based off your response


• staff are expected to abide by all Bleub species rules, and set the standard for community members

• staff members are categorized into sectors that determine their jobs within the species

- the species owner may fill any sector position
artist sectors include: adopt artist, nursery artist, and growth artist
administration sectors include: owner, moderator, archivist

• staff may do work outside their sector(s) with permission from the species owner, but will only be awarded tickets based on work from their assigned sector(s)

- the exception to this is Bleub events - where any member of staff may create free adoptables and earn tickets

• staff compensation comes in the form of tickets, which are earned through activity in the species

• the ability to create paid work must be ‘purchased’ with tickets. the ticket amount corresponds to the rarity of the paid adopt/nursery batch/growth. for nursery batches, the ticket amount determines the highest rarity of the parents.

- tickets can be used to redeem a custom voucher (which can be sold as a myo) or create a design to sell for any desired currency
- USD/dA points/any off site currency must be discussed/auctioned offsite (DeviantArt or Instagram)

• staff ticket exchange is as follows:

1 ticket = 1 basic voucher
2 tickets = 1 common voucher
4 tickets = 1 uncommon voucher
8 tickets = 1 (two trait) rare voucher
10 tickets = 1 (max trait) rare voucher
15 tickets = 1 very rare voucher

- staff must use tickets to unlock paid adopts/nursery batches/growths unless using the one allotted paid slot per month
- uncommon, rare, and very rare vouchers require a higher amount of tickets to keep rarities consistent
- for paid nursery batches, ticket amount determines the nursery slot's rarity, and the Bleub parent's rarities must be equal to or below the corresponding voucher. tickets may be redeemed for personal nursery batches in a likewise fashion.

example - you complete two free adopts and receive two tickets. you can 1) redeem those tickets for two basic custom vouchers, 2) combine those two tickets for one common custom voucher, or 3) combine those tickets to open a paid nursery batch slot for Bleubs with rarities common or basic

• mythical custom vouchers will be unavailable through ticket accumulation, however, once every 3 months, an artist will be chosen at random to create a free mythical Bleub adopt for the community - compensation will be a mythical custom voucher that the chosen artist may keep, sell as a myo, or design to be sold/auctioned for the artist desired currency. if the chosen artists is unable to create this adopt within 6 weeks after selection, another artist may be chosen. to ensure fairness, the same artist may not be selected more than twice in a year

- moderators & archivists will receive one mythical custom voucher every 6 active months.
- all staff will receive one mythical custom voucher after one year with the species!

ARTISTS: adopt artists - nursery artists - growth artists
the only requirement is that you put as much love and effort into your free adopts/nursery batches/growths as you do your personal and paid works. we strive to keep Bleubs fair to both free and paying members and want everyone to have equal opportunity to quality content. we kindly ask you not to rush through free work for the sole purpose of accumulating tickets


- artists may create free Bleub adopts with rarities basic to rare. very rare adopts will be released for milestones. to ensure consistent rarity values, you will be asked to roughly follow to the following ratio when creating designs: out of every 20 adopts, around 8 should be basic, 6 should be basic or common, 5 may be uncommon, and one can be rare. in general, artists may create as many basic or common Bleubs as they wish.

- artists can earn and redeem tickets from completing free adoptables/nursery batches/growths - one ticket is awarded for every one free adopt/nb/growth

- artists may do ONE paid adopt/nursery batch/growth per month without using tickets (not one of each, one total)

- adopt artists must not have more than 5 open competitions (paid adopts do not count towards this limit)

- nursery artists must not have more than 5 incomplete nursery batches at one time, free or paid

- growth artists must not have more than 5 incomplete growths at one time, free or paid

- after a total of 50 free adopts/batches/growths, artists automatically receive a very rare custom voucher

- after a total of 100 free adopts/batches/growths, artists automatically receive a mythical custom voucher

ADMINISTRATION: owner - moderators - archivists
administration is what keep the species runnings smoothly on the back end. activity in these positions is essential, but real life always comes first. admins will be compensated weekly based on their activity within the species and availability to community members for questions, comments, and concerns. there is no penalty for periods of inactivity less than six consecutive months


- admins are expected to be respectful and considerate when answering questions and dealing with issues or concerns

- moderators - when answering questions on CS threads, please specify who you are talking to by quoting posts

- admins will receive one ticket for every active week (around 5-7 days of activity)

- for every 6 months of activity (does not have to be consecutive), admins will receive a mythical rarity custom voucher

- admins can choose to utilize custom vouchers to create paid adopts/nursery batches/growths with permission from the species owner
