It doesn't really make sense to bring this up now anyway, honestly. You could have just said "I think there should be a rule against editing" without calling out Nekro and starting this whole debate. What's done is already done, and while I agree that there should be a rule against editing forms, I don't think it's necessary to bring up old stuff like that.

I think its better to address the situation now rather than later. I was actually replying to bapple until nekro responded to my message. my message was more for bapple, and how I think that the circumstances are unfair. you really didn't have to step in and say anything, though

hey, I hope that its alright for me to input my opinion here. nekro edited their post which I undoubtedly think is unfair. for all we know, they initially could have been asking for a different taudipps but edited their post because it was taken. nonetheless they didn't give a reason for their edit. some other pixel species have a rule against people editing their posts when adopting from litters, as it gives others a disadvantage. I believe the rules here should be a little more strict too, to keep things fair. I really don't believe that nekro got #1

Yes, I encourage others to tell me when they think something is wrong, to make the community a better environment for everyone, so that’s alright! Thank you for expressing your concerns. Yes, I helped out a bit with making that decision to change the rules regarding forms, as I also thought it was more fair, assuming we’re thinking of the same thing. I didn’t even consider that I should apply the same rule to taudipps at the time though, I guess I just thought they weren’t popular enough to have those kinds of issues. ^^’ However, after all this, I do think it would be beneficial to apply the rule to taudipps as well. I’ve been thinking about giving the rules an update regardless, as being part of sweeten staff has taught me some important things, so I will implement this as well.

Also, I saw this in your conversation with Nekro_Gaming.

the "edited 1 time in total" only comes up when somebody posts after you. therefore you made the edit after dark ranger had asked for #1.. it just seems really unfair to me

I had no idea this is how editing posts worked. I didn’t know that “edited 1 time in total” only shows up when someone posts after you. This is completely new information to me, and had I known this at the time, I would’ve given the adopt to Dark Ranger. There’s not much I can really do about it now, since I already made the decision weeks ago, but… I’m going to offer a free custom telephone taudipp to Dark Ranger as an apology, and so they can get the adopt they deserve.

Hopefully all of this will help set the wrongs right! This was an unfortunate accident, which I hope we can avoid happening again, moving forward.

The rules have been updated, please follow them for this next batch! Also, since a sweeten litter is being released at the exact same time as this taudipp batch, the batch will be posted in 10 minutes instead of 20! This is so you don’t have to choose between the 2 species! Good luck everyone!
