RBDs were originally bred for Belgian royalty in 1965. They were primarily used for showing, and jousting. These drafts were a pure mix of only Belgian horses. Though they were bred for show, these sweethearts are calm and collected, and are great for any discipline. No RBD has ever been known to act up, or get spooked easily. Back then, only the richest people owned these horses. But, times have changed, and they have become quite popular nowadays! These beauties are now common all around the world!
