called the Werwild. There, only a handfulof citizens live--
close to the walls for the little safety the exterior guards
can provide. The safety, of course, is from the residents
of the Werwild: the Wildlings. They are supposedly
uncivilized ponyfolk, living off the forest land and
protecting its secrets. Every so often, a Werwild
resident does happen upon Paledon and decides
to enter the society. However, it is a rare occurrence,
and many Paledonians never see a Wildling in their entire
life. Perhaps it is better that way, considering the rare
and dangerous magicks that Wildlings have been seen to possess

The north gate is off-limits to all Paledon citizens.
It is heavily guarded against the icy wasteland, Haven. Haven is ruled by the lord, Frostbite. Scorned by the sibling rulers, he decided to retaliate and freeze half of their kingdom--which took almost all his magical energy, turning him into a frozen statue. Despite being dormant, he still emanates the same frosty energy which keeps the north frozen and snow-covered, keeping the siblings on their toes and ever-aware of their frosty enemy to the north. It is strictly forbidden to go into the north, as many who travelled there have never returned; and the Empress and Magister don't want to lose any more citizens to Frostbite.
