I just can't get used to people wanting store pets so bad and valuing them so high. I mean, back then everyone could just get the Eat & Drink me, Cerberus and others with very little effort. I never had any trouble getting any of them during all those years. Whenever someone offers a store pet for my OMGSR pets I feel like this just can't be right, haha. Guess I'm an oldie now!!

Yes, 2008 member here who put so much time into this site for about 10 years, I haven't been on much at all the last 2. I still love to come back around December though because of the nostalgia. It is a part of me that I have to check on every once in a while anyway, especially during the holidays. <3

I definitely agree with this, despite the fact that I consider myself a member since 2014, I frequently visited before I made an account. I remember some of the first litters and using a super boxy school computer to check them all. The good ol days :,)

I only really became aware of this a few days ago but... some desire in me came up to try and get those missing 2009 2010 pets from my collection. I went on the trade thread and just started clicking usernames and what I saw was... there are not really any 2008, 2009, 2010 users. It made me feel alone like :c I still remember 2009 when I was new and I was just surrounded by CSians. Everyone was trading and it was a relaxing (mostly ^^;) experience. I love and enjoy the atmosphere in present CS don't get me wrong. But it is different.

This isn't even about the trading anymore. I am just sad at the thought that the old users could be mostly gone. Are you oldies around? </3

i think a big problem is that i don't really rp or use oekaki like i used to, so there's not a whole lot here for me anymore. most of my friends have moved on to discord or other sites so i don't really talk to anyone here either

Totally get ya! I cannot believe that I got both an Eat & Drink Me Dog, plus a handful of shop items, for practically nothing. A Red X dog. Today CS users would pay actual money for them! Also, there was something seriously rewarding back when to get Advent pets by just patiently waiting at the Pound. I have several from early 09 I got that way.

Speaking of Advents, it's really hit me these past few years that "Advents" always have and will refer to December of 2008. Same thing for September, now that I think about it. It's like a crazy time capsule! I think "wow, it was only a few years ago." only to be blindsided that it's well over 10 years now.

I am in the same boat. I have been on since April '09. Took a few years off but haven't been active on the forums until recently. All my sisters are off CS, they use to play with me... rp and mostly oekaki for me but now I don't do either of them. Came on here in Dec after many years not active and ended up trading my jewelry liontail away for a noncoon only to realize I could have got several nons because of how trading is done nowadays... I use to be very good at trading now.... it is very difficult with all the different ratings and such...
