The Kija Sport Cob is a breed originating from the shores and grassy meadows of Ireland, carefully bred between Irish Sport Horses and the Irish Cobs. The Kija Cob comes in many different colors/patternings, and sport very thick and luxurious manes, tails, and feathers. Kija feathering needs to be trimmed often, as it grows at an alarming rate, and even then, Kija Cobs often trip over their flowing fetlock fur. These horses are well acquainted to cross-country and other sports such as dressage, show jumping, and even western disciplines. Their sweet, mostly gentle disposition and athleticism makes them popular among riding schools and in training facilities.
