Laurel frowns and says “public transport is gonna be dangerous... but if we possibly see if we can take the sun chariot or I can see if I can borrow my aunts van” she watches with nervous eyes. In the back of her mind she hears her father say “good idea”

||Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Dining Pavilion|Tags: Quest Meeting Group|

"Okay then, random kid who I don't care what your name is," the wine god addressed Teilo. "You're the driver. Try not to get everyone killed. Or do. I don't care." Mr. D scowled, evidently fed up with the whole discussion in the first place. Mirabelle absently wondered how many games of pinochle Chiron had bribed Mr. D with in order to keep him present and involved.
Mirabelle nodded emphatically when Teilo firmly declared that he would not be riding on any bus, silently thanking the gods. It would be safer if they could find one of those 'ten-person party vans', she knew - no risk of running into monsters inside the transport, at least. Besides, her motion sickness tended to be worse on buses in particular - trains she was usually okay with, so long as she was facing the direction the train was moving. She had learned that the hard way... culminating in the 'oh gods I puked on a monster' incident. Thankfully, she had sworn the other two demigods to secrecy concerning the matter. Though one of them had taken to calling her 'Mirabarf' until they realised how much it bothered her. She would rather like to avoid a repeat of that embarrassing moment if at all possible.
At Laurel's mention of the Sun Bus, her stomach did a barrel roll. Oh gods, please not a bus. Anything but a bus. Well, anything but a boat or a plane, actually - those were the worst. But a bus was a close third. "Won't Apollo need the Sun Chariot to transport the sun in the morning?" she pointed out, feeling a twinge selfish. "That, and we'd have to forgo flying it - flying of any kind would be incredibly dangerous in the current conditions." Guilt warred in her chest at her selfish motivations. A bus was bad enough, but pair that with heights and she was done for. Not only would she have to dose herself full of Dramamine, but the mortal terror of being so high above the ground would certainly be more than she could handle. Her face paled ever so slightly at the mere notion. Still, the points she made were valid - flying was a huge no-go with all that snow and wind swirling about. They wouldn't be able to see where they were going, magical sun chariot or not. And Apollo did need to raise the sun, one way or another. The thought of Laurel's Aunt's van was certainly more appealing than anything that had been suggested so far. "How far away does your aunt live?" Mirabelle inquired, turning towards the daughter of Zeus. "A van sounds like a more practical option - we'd have to make sure its got snow tires on, though."

||Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 3|Tags: Hu & Caspia|Mentions: S'ad's Prank|

"Uh... sister?" Juliet glanced around the cabin, expecting to see Satchi or someone. Instead, a new face greeted her vision. Freckles, big blue-green hazel eyes, and an unruly mop of ginger hair. "Oh! New sister. Neat. Hey, I'm Juliet. Most people call me Jules, though. Call me Julie and I'll set all your stuff on fire." She tried to maintain a serious expression, but soon cracked a lopsided smile. "Nah, I'm just messing with ya. I'm a lot more likely to rob you blind than set anything on fire." Humour danced in her hazel eyes. "Unless you're Mr. D's shirt, that is. Then I'll definitely set you on fire." The comedy in her expression quickly fled when she turned back to Hu, however.
"Uh, yeah, about that - not exactly," Juliet explained. "It's like a gryphon, but not - it's giant - oh - it's better if I just show you. But be careful, and don't get too close to this thing. I have no idea how aggressive it is or even what it is, for the most part." She started to edge out of Cabin 3, gesturing for Hu and her sister to join her if they pleased.

||Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Outside Dining Pavilion|Tags: Yuno|

"Like, thanks, man!" Chuck bleated, breaking into a grin. "You have like, no idea how relieving it is to hear that, you know?" He watched as Yuno jotted something down, absently chewing on his sleeve. Always organised, that one. They reminded him of Mira in that sense - though Mira tended to have a mental checklist rather than a physical one. He absently wondered if Mira's mental checklist was colour-coded and had little sticky notes all over it.
"Uh, so like, where do we even start?" Chuck shuffled his hooves in the snow. "We can totally like, get the other satyrs to help and stuff, most of them are like, trying to anyways, I think." He'd seen a few fellow satyrs out in the woods, mostly consoling dryads and attempting to offer help, though they had seemed a bit confused as to how exactly to do so.

||Zahra Al-Amin|217/Looks 32|She/They|Magician; Eye of Sekhmet|Location: Cabins Area --> Dining Pavilion|Tags: Jay|

Zahra followed the young magician to the stately building, again silently admiring the soaring Greek columns. The sound of many voices rang out as she crested the hill. It seemed the demigods were in some kind of meeting - most likely concerning the troubles they were dealing with, she reckoned. Amidst the crowd, she could sense Set's chaotic energy somewhere close by. "I thank you for your aid, Jay," Zahra whispered, at loathe to interrupt the proceedings. "Now, if you could kindly point me in the direction of the Host, I would be most grateful."

||Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Mount Marcy Caverns|Tags: Open|

Vivienne took her time finishing her breakfast, allowing herself to enjoy the simple pleasures of a bagel with coffee to an extent. Uncertainty warred within her as she poured over her mother's words, and their plans to attack later that day. Destroying Camp Half-Blood is one thing, but killing every individual demigod? It seemed a bit too far. Most of those demigods were probably not even present for the incident... they were blameless in the face of that, at least. Yet, no one is truly innocent. And mother will have my head if I don't follow through.
Meanwhile, Khione lounged in the cavern she'd furnished into a throne room. Not quite as lavish as her chambers in Boreas' Palace, but suitable nonetheless. The snow goddess showed no sign of surprise when the mist of an Iris message popped up before her. One of her pawns, checking in with a report, no doubt. "Ah, Caleb." She had memorised the demigod's first name upon meeting, to use as a subtle manipulation later on. Utilising someone's name was a way of making them feel important or valued - a crafty tactic given her motives. "You have something of importance to report, I assume?" Terrified faces of frozen hikers stared over her shoulders like a guard around the ice-chiseled throne, adding a morbid ambience to the otherwise clear-cut atmosphere.

[]Caleb Thomas|18|he/him|Athena|the lake|Tags:Khione

Caleb kept his expression neutral as the cold air shimmered and the face of Khione appeared before him. His eyes were briefly drawn to the faces of mortals behind her, frozen in their looks of terror. The sight twisted his stomach in a knot, but he pulled his gaze away as he was addressed by the goddess, offering her a respectful nod and his best charming grin. “Khione, you look as chilling as ever.” The flattery was probably lost on the icy snow goddess, but it came as a natural reflex to him, and he was keen to stay on her good side—the frozen hikers behind her served as a frightening reminder of that.

“The demigods are leaving on their quest soon. There are ten of them in total, and they’re headed to Mount Marcy. One of them had a vision from Aphrodite.” The words came out steadily, short and to the point. The son of Athena wasn’t entirely sure what the goddess was planning, or how his conveyance of information affected that, but he was doing his best not to think about it. He knew what he wanted out of this, and he was going to continue doing anything he could to get that. This wasn’t a betrayal, it was simply a means to an end. That’s what he had to keep telling himself. “And they suspect Vivienne’s involvement,” he said as an afterthought, not sure how much importance that would be to the goddess.

Part of him wanted to ask what she planned, wanted to know what exactly the questers were getting themselves into. He cared about his fellow campers, and he really didn’t want to become full time head counsellor, especially not considering what would have to happen for that event to occur. But he knew prying was a really, really terrible idea. The goddess had her plans and though he was still wary of her, he knew his place and wasn’t about to overstep that. “That’s all,” he concluded, eager to break the connection before anyone came looking for him.

if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

Emerson "Emmie" Tags: Reese Location: Kitchens

She noticed the light pink bloom on his cheeks, she hoped he wasn't starting to develop wind burn. She raised her eyebrow when he said Bon Bon. He seemed to be in deep thought as he opened the door for her "Such a gentleman" she said as she swiftly made her entrance into the kitchen. Instantly her sense of smell was assaulted by the smell of eggs and bacon with a hint of hot cocoa. Her belly growled from being deprived of breakfast in the sake of training and avoiding.

"That has to be the most difficult question I've ever been asked." she said with a small laugh. She thought for a moment before shoving a finger in the air like she just had an epiphany. "Mint chip is a really good choice but I really like raspberry cheesecake.
Just something about the combination feels homely."
she said turning to face him. "So if they don't have raspberry cheesecake I'll be slightly disappointed but a big tub of mint chip will do." she turned back around and skipped over to a tall freezer and looked at him. "Together Clyde?" she questioned with a hand on one handle.

Aydan Tags: Ophelia and Celeste Location: Aphrodite cabin

Aydan felt the door open and a hand on his shoulder. "I have a sister, she's been behind all of this with Khione. She lied to me in my dream.... she didn't say anything about being my sisters and now... the questers are... might kill her if they have to." he said unsure if Ophelia even understood the rush of words pouring out of him like a waterfall. He layed his head on Ophelia's shoulder for a few moments, all inhibitions flying out the window before he had realized Celeste was also there. He straightened himself up and looked at the other girl. "I-I'm sorry." he croaked out the apology with a weaker smile. "I'll be ok after a wonderful tour." he said before looking to Ophelia with with a smile trying to convince her that everything will be ok. She didn't need to worry about him right now while she was enjoying herself. Hed have to figure it out later, possibly on his own. He still felt slightly light headed but ignored it "Are you two ready?" he asked shoving his hands in his sweatpants pockets.

caspia chuckled as hu hugged her, giving her a squeeze back. her head turned as someone knocked on the door, lifting herself up as hu opened the door. "oh! I'm caspia, it's nice to meet you juliet." she greeted kindly, although she still felt a bit disoriented after the fish debacle. everything and everyone seemed so new, she was struggling to try and get used to everything. chuckling at the jokes juliet threw at her, she felt a bit more comfortable standing around. "a gryphon?" she asked, bewildered.

dahlia stood silently, the dull ache in the side of her face kept her distracted. trying to listen as they all talked, she clenched the strap of her bag looking down once again at her feet. a bit of fear set in as she wondered if this was the last time she'd be back in the camp, letting out a long sigh she pushed the drowning thoughts aside. she listened quietly as they spoke about transportation, glancing around at everyone.

delilah held in bitter tears as she kept walking, wanting to let out a scream she took a deep breath although it didn't do much to calm her. her feet ached after walking so quickly, feeling the bits of grass poke at her feet she decided to find a place to sit. plopping down delilah ran a hand through her hair, finally letting her hot tears pour out. "why are you just leaving me." she mumbled to herself, pulling her knees to her chest. dahlia didn't even consider asking her to come along, was she weak? of course, she couldn't even take training seriouslh how could she survive on a quest.

||Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Dining Pavilion|Tags: Quest Meeting Group|

A thirty-minute walk. That didn't sound so bad. Mirabelle figured she could easily do that, though the prospect of spending so long out in the cold wasn't particularly enticing. As long as I don't end up hypothermic again. The thought went down like a sour grape. Gods, that had been embarrassing. She had been reduced to a trembling mess of confusion, and had even allowed herself to be cared for by Ophelia. At least it was Ophelia and not someone entirely untrustworthy. They had even had a blissful little bonding moment - until tragedy had so rudely interrupted. Thanks, Megan. Part of Mirabelle wished she could have what they shared in that moment - the warmth of sisterly compassion; the sheer intimacy of being held by another person. You don't deserve that, a voice in her head told her. Remember what you did. She bit her cheek, gaze flickering to the side.
Chiron's gentle voice interrupted her thoughts, giving her some reprieve from any further internal dialogue.
"Laurel, perhaps you could Iris message your aunt - if she is aware of your demigod status, that is?" the centaur inquired. "That way, you can ask her before you all head out. I must confess, am a bit worried about all of you walking in this weather, not to mention the monsters that may catch your scent." He tugged at his beard as he regarded the gathered demigods. "Argus has informed me that there have been sightings of monster activity close to the camp borders," Chiron told the group gravely. "He is patrolling them as we speak, and setting up some extra defence measures should the monsters break through. Regardless of your means of transport, be careful on your way out." He paused, smiling sadly at the ten campers. "Make sure you’re all packed before you leave. And take care of each other - you’ll need to work together as a group in order to succeed."

||Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 3|Tags: Hu & Caspia|Mentions: S'ad's Prank|

"Yeah, but like, a HUUUGE one," Juliet explained. "Like twice the size of a lion. I think it's a gryphon? I dunno. Gryphons are usually smaller and black in colour. Kinda remind me of hyenas." She made a face at the thought. "This one's a weird red-gold colour, and has like reeaally sharp-looking feathers." Desire sparkled in her hazel eyes as she spoke of the feathers in particular. "Oh, and that's not all! The thing is totally guarding a gem. Looks shiny. Probably valuable. I have no idea how this big monster got in here or why it has a gem, but dude, stealing it - and maybe some feathers - would be so much fun. Terrifying, but fun. Potentially life-threatening, but fun. And it's also kind of blocking my way into my cabin... soooo? Whaddya say? Up for a little heist?"

||Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Mount Marcy Caverns|Tags: Caleb|

Khione seemed mildly impressed by the compliment, but her coffee-brown eyes narrowed. Usually, when someone tried to use flattery on her, they wanted something. That wasn't to say it didn't go unappreciated. She listened intently to the demigod's next words, carefully marking them down in her mind. Ten demigods, headed here. It was almost like the mortal idea of a holiday present. Delivering themselves, right to her figurative doorstep. This would make killing them so much easier. Khione wrinkled her nose at the mention of Aphrodite - that vapid excuse for a goddess was always sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Still, the other gods would be occupied soon enough. As soon as the Doors of Death are opened.
'They suspect Vivienne's involvement', he had said. Perfect. If they were so caught up with Vivienne, they would ideally miss any underlying plot Khione herself had. It was Vivienne's entire purpose, of course. She'd planned this out well.
"If that is truly all, you are dismissed. Thank you for your valuable information." The goddess tacked on the last part as a cordiality, a manipulative tactic to make the demigod feel valued. It wasn't entirely untrue, however - that information was certainly valuable, as she had mentioned.

Wilhelm laughed softly, matching his visibly gentle nature. "Maybe, but don't put yer money on it. There's plenty th' Athena cabin is better at than mine. Usually, it's plannin' ahead." He added light-heartedly. Will double-checked that Kade was following before making his way down to the forges. The smell of ash and steel brought back a flood of memories, some more pleasant than others. He remembered his first summer when he was twelve. It was an awkward time, to be sure; Will had hit a colossal growth spurt, growing two inches in hardly a month. His voice had started to crack as it deepened, and none of it was conducive to "fitting in," even at a camp made for demigods. I've come a long way. He mused, lighting some tinder with a finger to start warming the forges. His eyes wandered to the lacquered wood case he'd left the night before; his birthday gift. "Mh, don't 'spose I'll get a chance t' show yer head counselor this 'fore he leaves. Damn shame, too. Y'all are always tellin' me I need th' right weapon to appreciate the fightin'."

OOC: Thanks! Anywhere good I can throw Karter in on the meeting? If not, he can just kinda be there in the shadows, he’s good at that (and totally fine with it if need be)

IC:

Kade Turner | Athena | Tagging: Wilhelm | Location: Camp, Dining Pavilion

"We have our skills, just as you have yours. It’s not so much a matter of what skills are better as much as how to balance them for the better outcome," Kade decided. He stepped in after Will and shook his head. "I doubt it. Things are pretty hectic. Everyone's running all over the place. There'll be time later though. I’m sure of it." Then a small smile came to his face. While the Athena campers weren’t as battle-hungry as the Ares crew, their mother was still the goddess of war. WISDOM and war, though. "And do you think you have the right weapon?"

Skylar Kakitid, 16 years old, Female, Daughter of Hecate, 7 year camper, Location: Dining Pavilion, Tags: Quest Meeting People, Mentions: None

Skylar listened carefully as they talked about transportation. Sadly, this was an area she could not help. Her magic was more attack and hiding magic and couldn't do anything when it came to transportation. Except shadow travel. But shadow travel was not as powerful with Skylar. She had not really studied much of shadow magic outside of the making of shadow weapons. usually she could only travel herself, or maybe one other person. Another person made her extremely exhausted, however. She definitely could not transport all of them. She would be a much bigger help as a fighter. They discussed going on a public bus, which was fine with Skylar. She could probably hide them all with the Mist. Yet, most of them didn't like that idea. That is when Laurel suggested her aunt's van. Skylar could help with that. "If your aunt does not know about you being a demigod, I could help come up with something and use the Mist to make us seem like something normal. Maybe like a band or something." That would be fun making the weapons look like instruments and making the others look like band nerds. Hehehe, she had plans already. "And you guys know I'll be here to magic any monster's butt that comes near us." They had to be a team, regardless of their disagreements and she wanted them to know she would be there for them. Demigods always stick together.
