I was drawing this character for an illustration as was like. wow i hate thier hair. so i stopped and did this. They're an immortal shapeshifter who was thought dead by their partner (by his own hands. ya he sucks) but survived and is back for VENGENCE. so the bob didn't really capture the single-minded search for revenge/ rejection of physical attractiveness as a result of betrayal by their partner/ grittyness/ etc. frankly im considering the mullet most strongly but You're welcome to comment your opinion on which looks best!! I would love to hear it!

With the description/situation you've noted in the description, I think mullet is a strong choice! But failing that, short might work well?

Mullet for the vengeance + wicked madness vibe, like it portrays distress, but still stylin'
Waves for a calculated assassin + but yknow, still gonna beat yo butt, and I'm gonna look smexy doing it

Wow, suprising amount of love for the wave? Honestly I just stuck it in there cause when I went for pink hair inspo there was a lot of that style. Kayara's right tho it gives major Black Widow in The Avengers vibes. Yall are right about it being a Good Look but It's not really right for the character upon reflection.

But ya it's still a toss up between the more gritty styles.. mullet still owns my heart.
