hello there !

as a welcome and reopening gift, everyone is eligible to make one free mutato--their starter 'tato ! ♡
this is open for... forever,, so no need to rush. you can only ever get one of these.. so take your time !

how do you get this 'tato, you ask?

follow these five steps and at the end, you'll find yourself with your mutato c:
1) mark the main page.
2) make a post in the fanclub.
2) it can be anything--intro/question/answer/interaction search/etc--but make sure to respond to at least one person !

3) color this oekaki in and make your mutato pattern. please give this guide a quick read before making your mutato !

4) post your pattern with this form filled out (delete things in parenthesis):

Q. i own a mutato from v1, can i still make a starter 'tato?
A. yes-- everyone, regardless of if they already own a mutato or not-- can make one starter 'tato !

Q. can i ask/commission an artist to make my mutato pattern for me?
A. absolutely ! however, know that the mutato itself will remain as a 'free mutato' and you will not be able to resell it for anything. starter 'tatoes can only ever be traded for other mutatoes.

Q. if off-oekaki, can i use photographs? photos that i took?
A. no, mutato patterns must be drawn.

Q. i claimed an artist search entry, can i make it into my starter 'tato?
A. yes! color-in the entry, post it with the form (please provide a link to the original entry too!), and report it to have it moved under this oekaki. once it has been moved, feel free to post on this thread to let me know, just in case i miss it !

Q. i bought a myo ticket, do i make it here?
A. no, you should only ever color in this drawing once. subsequent myos + customs must be made here.

Q. can i make small tweaks to my mutato pattern after it has been made?
A. yes, go ahead, but i will not be updating the mutato itself. to be clear, what i mean by small tweaks is like, scooting a star over a bit, slight color tweaks (nothing very drastic), adding a few dots in, etc. if you are unsure, feel free to pm me.
