My cats are afraid of my Volkswagen ! They haven't been around my newest addition yet though .
Fiona ( my smaller cat ) will avoid my boy at all costs, and he takes advantage of it and will hop into my lap if he sees her there . George is my bigger cat and he also runs if Volkswagen comes too close, but I've caught him "hunting" the bun once or twice . He would do the whole "get low, butt wiggle" thing before running at Volkswagen ( who is staring at him the entire time like " really ?" ) and stopping just short before sniffing him and running away . Volkswagen doesn't pay him any mind when this happens though lol

She has been doing well, and she is getting used to my company and whatnot too. Everytime I go outside now and go to the gate, she greets me and follows wherever I walk. I tend to sit down on a cushion inside the main section of her enclosure that I've now claimed to be my spot haha. Earlier today I went straight to my spot and she came from outside her cage to greet me, before laying down about a foot away from me, and from her body language I assumed she was relaxed.

She doesn't run from me when I pet her either, but I still wait until she comes to me first.

I also bought her a small hut which she is about the size of but she likes tossing it around :)

I do have a question regarding cats and rabbits, tho. I did some research online regarding rabbits and cats and read that they can make good companions for each other, and was wondering if anyone here has experience with it? I have a cat and he is also an outdoor cat. He doesnt care about froppy (btw frop is almost a year old) and I assume the cat is over the age of 10 (he is a street cat, but isnt feral, hes actually the friendliest cat I've ever met, and he gets along with the bearded dragon and the chickens) my sister wanted to attempt to bond the rabbit and the cat, but I wasnt entirely sure about the process and if I should to begin with. And my mom said we should just get another rabbit, but my dad is iffy on another pet)

My cat, Buddy, and my new lion head, Gemini, are the best of friends! Buddy is almost 10 years old and has always done great with all of my small animals that I've owned throughout the years. But when I got Gem, he just loved her! He lays in her pen with her (he can jump into it, it's only 1 foot high cuz she's 6 lol) and she comes out to greet Buddy whenever he goes in there.

I definitely think cats and rabbits are good companions if you are 100% certain they are safe and happy with each other. However, I do not think rabbits should only have a cat as their companion. Rabbits must have another rabbit to be completely happy. Just because humans get along great with dogs doesn't mean we could live without humans forever.. Its the same with bunnies. They may like cats but they can't communicate with each other like they can their own species. I would explain this to your dad, that's what I had to do, my dad also says "no more animals" all the time lol. Besides, if you have one rabbit, its really not a big difference at all if you get another. Hope this helps some! Merry Christmas to everyone and all of your bunnies!

Also, its Romeos birthday on Christmas day! He will be turning 5 years old! I can't believe I've had him that long! C:
Oh! I also had someone draw Romeo Echo and Gemini for me (cuz I suck at drawing online lol) the are in my signature if anyone was curious what they looked like XD

we are gonna be getting another rabbit! My dad told me to look for one and stuff, so it'll be up to me bonding them and well, choosing one.

I wanted to get one asap, but I didnt want to get one from one the major pet store chains either. I looked in the area for people selling rabbits but most were male and we need to get a female.

Should I be getting one around the age of Froppy? She'll be a year sometime in between January and February. I'm considering visiting the small local pet shop near me, they have a rabbit or two at most but I'm not sure. And the babies for sale now wont be ready until early spring.

That’s awesome! I would recommend one about her age so they will have the same play style. I wouldn’t buy one from a pet shop but that’s just my opinion. I prefer breeders that know what they’re doing or a rabbit rescue. I’m currently bonding Gem and my boys so when you get another bunny, feel free to pm me about ways to bond or tips c:

Edit: Romeo and Echo's appointment to be fixed is on Tuesday, I really hope everything goes well... Then after 2 weeks, or however long the vet recommends, ill finish the bonding process with the boys and Gemini and they can finally share a pen! Which I will be redoing this winter so that they basically get to free roam my room c:

My sisters got the bunnies some new toys for Christmas lol, I'm super excited to put them in their new setup once they are all bonded but I don't want to put them in sooner or the boys will mark the new tunnels and rabbit castle...

So, yeah! That's what I've been up to :)

^ aww, that's nice. Rabbit castle sounds fun! I got froppy a tunnel, a cardboard house, and a wooden bridge thing for Christmas haha.

Also! I've been looking at rabbits but I think I'll have to wait a bit. We may get 2 more instead of 1, and the pet shop near us has 2 available rn but I didn't really wanna get them from there. I looked at local animal shelters but none of them had rabbits up for adoptions, and no small, local breeders have any up rn.

We leave for almost a week in March, I really really feel like we need to get a friend for Froppy before then. And I have to have time to bond them. She's not depressed rn, but I haven't been able to spend that much time with her these past couple days.

^Pet stores aren’t always bad places to get pets, just be sure to ask lots of questions and get all the answers that you’d hope to get. Ask to handle the rabbits before you buy them (if you decide to do so) and lots of other things. Look up signs of a healthy rabbit and write them down, check both the rabbits over very thoroughly. C:

Happy new year everybody!

ty, I may get them from there afterall, if they're female that is. I called the other day and they're 2 months old, not froppys age but I assume that's fine(?) I think she would do well with them.

Yes, that would be fine, they are going to be older by the time they are fully bonded and sharing a space anyways, so by then they will be full grown if they aren’t completely yet. c:
