A beacon of hope, a guiding light in the darkness; an Aervana [air·vaa·nuh] is an irrepressible force for good. Gliding in to aid whoever they deem worthy of their attention, the ethereal Aervanas are characterised by their long, slender build and many feathered wings. It is also not uncommon to find specimens that possess feathered crests or even scales covering their bodies. The size of an Aervana may vary greatly, from small as a salamander you can put in your pocket to the size of an elephant you can't even fit inside your house - meaning there is an Aervana out there for everyone, regardless of their wants & needs. Perhaps you will find one that is right for you?

RULES & GUIDELINES

Be kind and respectful to every member of the community. Harassment is strictly not tolerated and may result in a ban.

Aervanas are a closed species. This means that non-staff users are not permitted to create their own Aervana.

You may not transfer your Aervana out of the species without notifying staff. You will need to notify a member of staff, preferably me (Calibri) before you can transfer your Aervana out of the species.

Aervanas can only be traded for other Aervanas unless the design has been transferred out of the species. You may not trade your Aervana to someone in exchange for art, currency or other species unless they have been transferred off of Aervana lines & are no longer associated with the Aervanas species.

Free Aervanas may not be resold unless permission is granted by the artist who made it. This means you are free to sell designs you may have created yourself or designs you have explicitly received permission from the original artist to resell.

You may not co-own an Aervana with a friend. Once an Aervana is adopted by a user they may not "share" it with a friend. You may trade your Aervana or gift it to someone and by doing so you agree to giving up ownership of said Aervana to another user.

Please do not whine or beg for an Aervana. Poor sportsmanship may be punished with a strike if it keeps happening.

Respect our artists. Please follow deadlines and avoid excessively bumping unjudged competitions.

Please don't mini-mod. Please message any complaints and concerns you might have to me (Calibri).

Three strikes equal a ban. A ban may be given instantaneously if staff conclude that the rule breaking incident is severe enough.

Aervanas must have some number of wings. You are free to use as many of the premade wings as you desire for your Aervana, whether you want to take off a few pairs or keep all the pairs on, but you must have at least one pair visible on the design for it to be valid.

Aervanas have no rarities. This means artists can go wild and add edits to their heart's content!

You are allowed to win up to three adopts a month. This limit may change as the species grows and does not include event adopts.

You must wait 2 months before you can trade your Aervana. You are free to gift your Aervana at any point as this does not have a cooldown.

Faction changes have a 6-month cooldown. Keep this in mind when you pick your faction - choose wisely!

Your roster of Aervanas can consist of any mix of the two factions. The faction you choose will only affect you personally - your Aervanas may be a mix of either Light or Arcane and can be traded freely regardless of the faction of your trading partner (this also affects Aervanas won through faction-specific adopts).

Factions

To begin your journey through the world of Aervanas, you must first pledge your allegiance to one of two factions - the Light or the Arcane. For centuries, the champions of the Light & Arcane factions have coexisted in harmony, sharing a common goal - to ensure that their human followers receive their aid when the time comes and the Aervanas are called upon. Their methods of providing protection & companionship are what set them apart - the Light generally being the stronger, more reckless one of the two factions while the Arcane prefers to outwit any obstacle with intellect and careful planning. Your roster of Aervanas can consist of any mix of the two factions.

Each faction will present you with a series of perks unique to them to aid you through your journey with your Aervanas. Choose wisely, for once you have chosen your side, you may not change it for another 6 months!

LIGHT

"Headstrong and fiercely loyal to those they deem worthy,
Aervanas of the Light are controlled by their emotions, doing
what they believe is the right thing to do in the heat of the
moment. Sworn into a life of service as ethereal protectors
of those in need, champions of the Light will stop at nothing
to ensure the safety of their friends and allies."

Pledge your allegiance to Light and receive the following boons:
- May enter for Light-specific Aervana adopts
- In official raffles hosted by staff, receive 1 extra ticket

ARCANE

"Calmer and more level-headed than their Light counterparts, an
Aervana of the Arcane will do what they believe to be the greater
good in a situation. They will consider every option to ensure the
happiness of as many as possible. Do not mistake their reserved
nature for weakness, for champions of the Arcane are capable
of extraordinary things in times of need."

Pledge your allegiance to Arcane and receive the following boons:
- May enter for Arcane-specific Aervana adopts
- All cooldowns (trade, faction change etc.) are shortened by 3 days
