Crescentstar could not help but feel anything but motivated to get up for the day. To him it would simply just be another day of living with his failure to be a leader. It was a thought that made him doubt everything he stood for. Was he truly worthy as his predecessor had said he was? The thoughts were already beginning to haunt him as he slowly opened his eyes to a new day. He let out a small sigh as he attempted to stretch himself out. As he looked out his den, he said a smaller shape laying near the entrance. He could not help but feel comforted by the presence of his kit: the last of his family.

It had been a bit of a rough night for the young cat. Unsurprisingly she dreamt of her sister's disappearance; it was not an uncommon occurrence for her at this point. She found herself unable to sleep before the sun poked its head over the horizon. In hopes of finding some level of comfort, she slowly made her way out of the apprentice den, as not to disturb anyone else. She then made her way over to the leader's den, only to lay around the entrance for a while, until the day began. She dozed off once more, only to wake up not long afterwards.

Moon lay in a sunny spot on a rock. She sighed in contentment. She twitched her ears and looked around. She was content being by herself and was quite happy that she left that clan, the one she has already forgotten the name of.

The orange she-cat sensed one of the clan’s toms, she flicked her nub tail and glanced over at him, seeing it was Blazewing. Whisperstep padded over towards the tom, knowing he’d most likely go on a patrol with her. “Blazewing,” The she-cat meowed softly. “Good morning, how are you on this fine morning? Care to share tongues?” Whisperstep asked. Lately, she hadn’t been wanting to speak to anyone due to the death of her brother but Whisperstep finally began to open up once more.

Berrypaw had already been awake, even before the sun came up this morning. She had slept but went to sleep early after the patrol she had with her mentor. She began to clean herself, cleaning her paws first, waiting for the other apprentices to wake.

Lids hanging heavily she laid around during most of the night from the comfort of her nest watching the sun fade and revitalize just as it had everyday. Very rarely had she'd watch the world transform so silently yet in a matter of minutes. Night melted to day and day melted to night, nevertheless, she had stayed awake watching and wishing. Cricketpaw would notice how much cats stirred, twitched, meowed in their sleep but remained still. For once she felt invisible as if the world didn't expect itself to revolve around how horrible she was. It made her sad. Sad and isolated with no possible escape from a legacy that no one would care to remember. Ever so often a pit would form in her stomach where neither her emotions nor thoughts could escape, rather they solidified into a hard lump and wouldn't leave for days. Her complaints were well heard, she made sure of it. Vaulting awake a breathy huff frisked itself against her whiskers. Gazing around the den sunshine flooded in from the entrance, it was morning. The fur around her neck prickled as the slim black cat padded outside, the warm sky bruising against the top layer of her pelt ever so gently as though it was an apology a poor sleep. Dreams and fantasies were common, often a sign from Starclan or simple imagination but she had expirenced neither. It was simply Cricketpaw being Cricketpaw. Passing a hasty look over the camp a few scarce cats caught her eye. Doubting it would be long until Whisperstep assigned a dawn patrol, the apprentice shook the fatigue from her eyes, only another day full of dissapointment awaited her.

Burnshadow slipped out of the warriors den silently, careful to not wake up any other cat sleeping in the den. The warrior yawned as he emerged and stopped a few paces after leaving the den. He glanced around to see which cats were out. A shame we're down in numbers now. He thought with frustration, flicking his ear in dismay.

Lighting emerging into the medicine cat den is what woke Thunderpaw, the once sleeping orange tom now shifting his body to sit up in his nest. His right paw raised up to rub his right eye and a yawn escaped from his mouth. Looking side to side, he couldn't help but feel alone. Though he chose to be the medicine cat apprentice, it still sucked sometimes knowing his mentor was the only other cat he shared a den with. Unlike the other cats around his age who shared den mates with someone who wasn't their mentor and that much older. I need to really get over this. This is the path I chose for myself. This was the path also meant for me to walk.

Tired of feeling as if he was going to begin loathing, the medicine cat apprentice got to his paws. It was time to leave the den and get some fresh air. Not even caring how he looked from not grooming his fur, the apprentice left the medicine cat den. He walked outside, taking in a deep inhale, then exhale. "This is much better." Thunderpaw murmured to himself, eyeing his surroundings.

She was being awakened for a quick while, already done some quick hunting s with his adoptive son Quicksparrow, taking her shrew and a mice to the pile as she looked at the lively clan, which was a little different now before they left out the camp was silent as death itself. She saw both her and Quicksparrow's apprentices at the entrance of the apprentice's den, but let them be there for now as she wanted to know first if she was going for any patrols, then she could think about today training.

He got back to the camp following his adoptive mother Lilyjaw, taking two birds to the pile, there was not any larger prey into the territory yet, which was a shame, he was hoping for a rabbit at lest. Sighing he gave a few licks to his chest, before looking over at the apprentices there thinking what he could do with Meadowpaw today she was old enough to become a warrior soon, maybe he could talk about her with Crescentstar to do her assessment.

She was sorting the herbs very late last night, as she was not that tired at all, which was a problem as a medicine cat when they didn't do much during the day so they didn't really get tired by work. Clawing her nest, she started to take the old used moss out of the den, taking the near the entrance as she looked the camp "Thunderpaw, do you need to change your beddings? I need to get some new stuff to my so...?" she meowed to the young tom there "oh good morning by the way" she continued rather embrassed.

Yawning the dirty gray tabby stood up to his nest, clawing the ground to take some of the moss on his nest out of his paws. His nest was messy and he really could need to change his beddings, but he was always too tired or just lazy to do so. The used moss started to smell too, but as long others didn't whine about it or he has not heard anyone do, he didn't have any hurry to change it just yet, maybe later. He noticed that most of the other were already awaken, which made his happy yet annoyed too, he was the only tom of the den right now, ignoring the young Cricketpaw he walked toward the other two older she-cats "Good morning love...eh Berrypaw and Meadowpaw" he meowed to the two apprentices.

Thunderpaw ears twitched, angling towards the words that spoke out to him from a familiar voice. Cocking his head to the side so that he could see his mentor from the corner of his eyes. "Oh," the only thing Thunderpaw could respond with at first, lost for words to respond with. It shouldn't have been hard to reply, but the tom just seemed a bit lost. He watched Leafbranch with almost a daze like gaze. It took him a few moments before he snapped out of it, which was when the she-cat told him 'good morning'. "Sorry, Leafbranch." He finally said, but his tone was quite hush. He shuffled his paws in his own embarrassment and glanced away shyly. " I don't need anything for my bedding, but good morning to you as well."

xxxxxIT WAS quite unusual for Timber ' thrush to find himself lethargically moping in the area designated for clan warriors ; however , today seemed to not be in favour of the tom . By the time the tom had scrapped together what energy he did have , he was perturbed at the fact that the den was almost barren - unusual for a feline who always preferred to have a running head start on the day . The warrior steps meticulously through whatever warriors did remain within the den to step outside . The air was crisp and hot on his lungs , Timber ' thrush inhaling deeply as his crest lowered with the front half of his physique , his figure contorting into a curvature as he stretched and allowed himself to be acquainted with the fresh , morning air and the pliant soil that shifted under heavy paws . He might have had a late start , but there was still enough time to seize the day ahead of him !

The blue she-cat looked over at Smudgepaw, unphased at what the tom had said to her and Meadowpaw. Berrypaw blinked and looked over at Meadowpaw, giving her a ‘you’re kidding me’ look. She had been taught to be polite so she spoke softly, “Good morning Meadowpaw.” The she-cat paused, “Good morning Smudgepaw.” Berrypaw bowed to the two apprentices before looking over at Cricketpaw. “Good morning ot you as well,” She purred softly before going back to her bedding. She began to smell something coming from the other nest—Smudgepaw’s nest. She sneezed from the stench before grabbing her nest, “I’m going to change my nest. Anybody want to come with?” Berrypaw asked.

Meadowpaw stirred awake and, not wanting to risk dozing off again, brought herself up to her paws. With a few quick stretches, she was able to stroll out of the leader's den over to where her fellow apprentices were. She was met with the sight of Berrypaw, who she greeted with a small nod. As she sat down, she heard another familiar voice, this time a younger apprentice. She could not help but grimace at his greeting, and she couldn't help but notice Berrypaw giving a similar look. She waited for the other she cat to speak before adding, "Ah yes, good morning to the both of you."
She then glanced between the other two cats before turning her attention back to the den. Despite her mental protests, she knew she needed to change over her bedding. Although it pained her to lose more of her sister's memory, she followed Berrypaw inside.

Sunblaze

Sunblaze woke up with the rising sun, as per usual for him. He was not exactly sure why his mind had him do so; maybe his name had something to do with it. Regardless of whatever the reasoning may be, Sunblaze was up and ready to start the day. He stood himself up and padded out of his den to see who else was up.
