I'm considering making a Hephaestus kid or legacy (probably legacy) so we have someone to make things at the forge. I would play them as needed, as their main focus would be working at the forge (probably antisocial) and because I feel 3 charries is pretty much the limit of what I want to rp at once (I also have 0 experience with smithing, so posts would take longer while I frantically google stuff)

Sorry, newbie question here- what's the difference between a legacy character and a character that has actually been claimed? I can't remember for the life of me.

Personality: Often described as a hippie or wild child, Poppy doesn't like to accept that stereotype; she'd rather be considered as a person who can't easily fit into a box. While she does have tendencies to adore earthen creations, she's not all wispy and flaky. Strong in emotions, she does tend to act impulsively and go with her mood; if she's mad, give her ten minutes and it'll blow over. Poppy is not into the whole fighting scene, as in a whole "must fight, must win! I hit you with stick - Rah Rah!'' attitude some campers carry *cough* Ares *cough*, but she's good with defensive strategy. She tries her best to be fair and just. If you earn her respect, you'll have a friend for life. Got a problem? She'll do her best to help, at least it's always an adventure with her!
History: My regular life, sucks. You know, the one where you go back and live with your parent(s) between the times you stay a camp. Yep, that one. Just try having a name like Poppy Rye, and then you'll know. Science class was the worst, my green thumb just had to come out. Imagine covering that one up. The whole 'bean project' never worked for me. They always flourished within a few hours - no matter what I did! Anyways, my dad's an engineer and I'm his flower child. He's pretty amazing and a bit nerdy, I help mellow him out! Right, this, umm history bit. Let's go with how I found out I'm not normal, easy. One day the greenhouse at school tried to attack/strangle/kill me. Yea, that was fun.

Personality: Never one of those loud and outgoing campers, Ben has always kept to himself; he finds it's easier to talk with his hands as long as he's only communicating with metal or wood. He keeps quiet and to himself though he tends to notice a lot. He's a hard worker and will give whatever he's doing 100% of his focus. If you're ever in need of a trustworthy person to let out all your troubles to, Ben's your guy. He might not always offer solutions - unless of course they can be made; and you'll have to deal with his hands staying busy, but you'll always feel better in the end. Unfortunately, keeping all his own emotions on the down low, they sometimes bottle up and he explodes - never at someone but everyone kinda knows to leave the forge alone for a few hours; the sounds of pounding metal gets a bit deafening. Ben is also rather shy, and won't usually be the one to approach but he does enjoy the company of others.
History: Growing up with his mom and grandmother, Ben had a pretty normal childhood. Well as normal as an ADHD kid with dyslexia can have. As a child, he learned to entertain himself with taking apart and rebuilding things - see he got dragged to his mother's work all the time and there is only so much excitement at a laundromat. With a natural talent at fixing things, Ben was actually pretty handy with getting the old and unwilling machines to cooperate back to life. In middle school, (they say the 'best years' but really they are the worst), Ben spent most of his time trying to stay under the radar. It wasn't until the shop teacher, Mr. Varsten, noticed his talents and let him into the classroom whenever he wanted. All of a sudden the dorky kid had found a safe haven in a building of torture. He could escape the bullies and teachers to a place that had unlimited resources at his fingertips. Finally the talent that fixed broken things could be unleashed to create anything he imagined. As expected, just as he was getting comfortable and set in life, the monsters had to come. A satyr found him in time to bring him to Camp Half-Blood before too much damage was caused to the school. The shop classroom was almost completely demolished and everyone had their fingers pointed at poor Ben. Now, a few years later, and that shy kid from high school works magic on every sort of material. If it's broken, Ben fixes it and makes improvements. Well he does that even if it's not broken. Anything you need, just let him know and it's done.
