Clan of the Rising Fox
Foxstar was slightly pleased by the scraps. More food, even though it the scraps were a bit small. He picked them up, and looked around. Foxstar turned to walk away from the lake, but then a smell came to his nose. It was hard to pin point which direction the smell had come from. He quickly buried the food, the smell was slightly stale, but it was there all the same. He glanced around again, still faintly confused about where it had came from.

WILDCLAN

“Well… my name is Eggdapple, Callie. I used to live at the vet’s office on south street, which is how I know some healing stuff. We’re going to take you back to our camp, and you can meet the rest of Wildclan. Right now it’s just us, Asphodelstar - you’ll get a new name, by the way - and Lambkit. But it’s safer than being alone. Okay?”

Callie gave a meek nod, green eyes fixed on her paws. A soft, self-soothing purr rumbled through her chest, echoing quietly off the metal of the trash bin they huddled in. “I just want my sister back,” she murmured.

Eggdapple’s gaze softened. Of course she did… this was a child who lost everything. She shuffled towards her, pulling her close in a hug.

Outside, Fawnflurry and Coalcreek breathed a sigh of relief as they saw the raccoon. Nothing worrisome, and Fawnflurry matched it in size, so between him and Coalcreek they could easily take it in a fight. The deputy gave out a rumbling yowl, a call for Eggdapple and Callie to pay attention. This would be the new apprentice’s first lesson in battle.

At Fawnflurry’s signal, Coalcreek snuck behind the raccoon, crouching in wait as Fawnflurry lunged, driving it towards the black and white cat laying in wait.

As Lilacmoon led her party on, she stopped abruptly when the scent of something new entered her nose, lifting her head and parting her jaw to try and take the scent in further. A predator. Of what kind, she was uncertain, but it would prove an issue with this year's kits if it got too close to the camp.
"Palecinder."
Doeleap jumped at her sudden hissing tone, but the tom's ears twitched, mouth full of herbs, and nodded to indicate his attention. "Give your herbs to Doeleap and fetch Lynxfrost. There's a predator nearby."
The young warrior's tail twitched eagerly as she took the herbs from Palecinder's grasp, watching the other warrior leave and then turning to the medicine cat expectantly, who gave her a mild look. "Oh, we're not going to chase it. You and Silverstreak are too young for predators."
Doeleap's tail flopped in disappointment, mewling like a whining kit. "But Seer-"
"Hmph, I will not have your mother angry with me just yet." She primly sat down, fluffy tail curling around her hind paws as she groomed one of her forepaws, immune to the begging. She noticed Doeleap's disappointed expression and offered, "Besides, I'm sure you don't expect me to carry all of the herbs and any prey the others may have found all on my own, now do you?"
The lilac she-cat looked down at the large pile that lay divided between the two of them, thinking it over. "Well, no..."
"And what if I find more? I will definitely need your help then."
Properly admonished and only slightly more reassured she was doing something important, she nodded, turning her head as her ears twitched towards the sound of cats rushing closer. Lynxfrost was the first to appear beside Palecinder, the rest of the patrol following behind. Oh boy, was Doeleap surprised by the haul they'd gotten! Silverstreak's round ears swiveled towards her, his path deviating to come greet his sibling and set down his prize, looking over what they'd been able to scavenge. He gave her a gentle pat with his tail, praising her as Lynxfrost spoke up to address Lilacmoon, the Seer dipping her head in return to his greeting.
"Lilacmoon, a predator?"
"The scent is coming from that way." She waved her tail towards the scent trail she'd found, giving him time to open his mouth and properly catch it. The bengal gave a nod, turning back to the group.
"Alright, Palecinder, Swanstrike, with me. We need to track it down. Silverstreak," The grey tom's ears perked up, "Stay with Lilacmoon and Doeleap and report back to Owlstar."
Silverstreak drooped, but nodded solemnly, less inclined to question orders than his rambunctious sister.
"Don't worry," Doeleap reassured him as the Commander took off with the elder warriors, "We can still brag to mama about all the stuff we got."
He made a soft huffing sound but started gathering their kills, hefting them as the Seer wrangled her pile of herbs. Doeleap helped with carrying anything extra and kept an eye out, eager to hunt a little since she was denied the fun of helping pursue the predator.

With Lynxfrost leading the way, the group of warriors headed out to deal with the intruder, stalking closer with the intention to chase them off.

Clan of the Rising Fox
Foxstar made a face when the full scent hit him. A skunk. They stank. he didn’t like them at all, Foxstar didn’t want to go after, just because of the stink. But he did walk forwards, after burying the prey he had gotten, of course. Foxstar followed the scent, because, who knows what a skunk would do? The Clan only just moved too the territory, and they needed to make sure other animals knew this and was claimed. Otherwise the Clan would probably have predator problems day and night. He did not want that. So there Foxstar was, following the scent to possibly one of his least favorite creatures in the world. ( I did forget aha )

Palecinder, Swanstrike and Lynxfrost picked up the scent. After studying it, they realized it's a fox. The fox jumped out of the bushes and attacked Palecinder. Palecinder luckily sustained no damage. The fox then went after Swanstrike. Again, the fox missed. The fox tried it's luck at Lynxfrost and the attack connected! Lynxfrost now has a secondary injury that requires 2 herbs to heal.

Once Eggdapple and Callie had peeked from hiding to watch, Fawnflurry gave the signal and drove the raccoon back, sending it yowling into Coalcreek. The young warrior got a good scratch in, causing the raccoon to whip around to attack back, but Coalcreek dodged rather well, jumping out of the way of snapping teeth. Sensing it was outmatched when it continued to be unable to land a hit, the raccoon turned tail and ran, leaving the warriors victorious.

Hollystar leaps up on to high rock and calls out to her clan. “I welcome new clan mates to our clan” she sits gently and smiles down at the female. Ravenwing claims down to greet the grey tabby female and her kits. Ravenwing nudged the females shoulder and says “welcome” she flicks her tail. Nightdawn peeks out of her den and trots over to the female and says “welcome..” The grey tabby dips her head and says “Ash” Nightdawn nods and says “Nice to meet you Ash” Holystar smiles and says “Ash are you ready?” Ash looks up and says “Yes i am” Holystar takes a deep breath and says addressing the whole clan “I call upon out warrior ancestors to look down on this new warrior” she looks at the female and says “ash do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your life?” Ash smiles and says “I do” Hollystar smiles and says “From this moment forward you will be known as Ashpelt! She smiles and looks down “Welcome to the clan Ashpelt” Ravenwing and Nightdawn yowl in greeting and Hollystar says “Ravenwing I need you to put together a patrol to find some prey and border check” Hollystar leaps down and trots to the pile and picks out a mouse to eat. She takes it to her den and starts to eat it.

Ashpelt smiles and trots to Ravenwing and says “I’m ok going on patrol” Ravenwing nods and says “ok come on” she trots out of camp with Ashpelt beside her. Ravenwing scents the air and says “Their is a rabbit nearby” she spots it in the undergrowth and signals to Ashpelt to get lower to the ground, Bolth the females leap after the rabbit.
