Poem about the sky:
"Twinkle like the stars of the city.
Every single little light that flickers dies out.
One wing rises above the rest.
As tired eyes droop and fall,
fifty thousand stars sparkle in the night sky.
Bringing dreams of hope and peace and love,
forging the mind's steel with the flames of light.
Or bringing nightmares of fear and pain,
hiding away the worst of fates.
She brings new promises or horrors to the dreamer in time,
yet the stars still twinkle... and they still shine.

far above us,
in that distant world.
there they lie,
my young friend,
we used to write
to each other.
singing songs,
and wishes for
a lover who didn't exist.
but nowadays,
I cannot see them,
their light has blinked
and gone right out.
sometimes I wonder
where have they gone?
then I look down again
and I realize.
they hadn't left at all,
it was I who was blind.
the lights around me
became too bright.
they drowned out the
sparkle of a single star.
I saw a shadow on the ground
And heard a bluejay going by;
A shadow went across the ground,
And I looked up and saw the sky.
It hung up on the poplar tree,
But while I looked it did not stay;
It gave a tiny sort of jerk
And moved a little bit away.
And farther on and farther on
It moved and never seemed to stop.
I think it must be tied with chains
And something pulls it from the top.
It never has come down again,
And every time I look to see,
The sky is always slipping back
And getting far away from me.
