Eh...well I can’t see it at the moment, but my sensors keep picking up some activity every once in a while. Nothing comes out though. I don’t think it went back to where it came from, so I’m thinking it might just be hanging out in there? I’m definitely not reaching in there to pull it out, but my guess is it’ll come back out with the next flux, if it IS still stuck in there anyway.

If you’re worried about it being hurt, I think it’s gonna be fine. Tests concerning whether or not these things are related to bacteria are so far inconclusive, but if they didn’t die of radiation poisoning coming through this thing, I can’t imagine it’ll hurt ‘em now.

I'm still working on constructing a computer model that'll predict the portal's fluctuations accurately, but preliminary estimates suggest we'll see another flux in about two weeks? If you ever want to check for yourself, you can check the sensor's current readings at the bottom of the adoption page.

.......Hmm. These things can eat building materials now, huh? Excuse me, I need to reinforce my basement.....

It seems the raffle tickets aren't torn off those little rolls you see at fairs and carnivals. I guess Third just prints them and cuts them out. I decided to investigate this more, but I needed a distraction, so I let Agnes out of her pen. She's a lot faster than I expected her to be, and she sprinted around the basement for a minute before running upstairs and immediately climbing up onto the ceiling fan in the living room. Seeing as Third could not immediately reach her with their short little arms, I figured I would have at least five minutes alone with the printer. In that time I was able to print out an extra raffle ticket, but as I was leaving I realized I'd let Jonathan out too by mistake. His little eyes glowing in the dark of the basement scared me half to death, and I tripped over a pile of papers lying around. Sprained my ankle. I figure I'll have to let that heal up before I risk going down there again. Jonathan is still at large...

After reading through the report generated by bloodmoon, I wondered if I could get to the printer as well, but before I even went into the basement, I heard some kind of commotion happening near the bottom of the stairs. Lots of yelling. And growling. Third and some guy I didn't recognize appeared to be wrestling something out of Agnes's mouth, so I decided to leave them to it. Instead I went to the local university library to conduct research there, and while browsing the nuclear physics section, I struck up a conversation with a grad student. I told her a little about the, uh, "project" I was assisting with (might have fudged some details here and there, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her) and she seemed very interested. Said she might be able to convince the university to back it. Hopefully her department head doesn't look too closely...Best to lay low for a bit.
