Main Page -- Breeding Thread -- Archives -- Color/Marking/Mutation Information
Hello, y'all.
I'm getting a new adoptable (Sol mustangs, or Sols) ready to open and would like to invite some fellow equine artists to help me bring these lovelies to the CS community. If you'd like to join the Sol mustangs artist team, please read the rest of this post, and the first two posts on the main page (linked above), and then show me what you've got. (:

- - Follow all of CS' rules
- Be respectful and polite; no whining, complaining, nagging, harassing, or otherwise being a nuisance
- Do not steal or claim this idea/breed as your own
- The Sols created for this contest are not real Sols; do not treat them as such
- Follow the general Sol rules (see main page)
- Make sure to read the Sol coloration information (link at top of post) before creating your entries
- Please post a cover first, under which you may post your individual entries
- Please fill out and post the artist application form (see below) with your cover
- You may create as many entries as you like, with a minimum of three
- You must create at least one entry with each type of mutation, at least one of which must be affecting a color/dilution and at least one of which must be affecting a pattern
- You must create at least one entry without a mutation
- Please fill out an individual entry form for each individual entry and post it with its respective entry
- Each individual entry should be titled: "FAKE: Sol Mustang #[entry #xxxx]: [color]" (ex: "FAKE: Sol Mustang #0002: Black Sol-Dun")
- You may color the halter or remove it, it won't affect the results
- Please remove the "Artist Search" and the BG when you post individual entries
- DO NOT under any circumstances remove my signature or the "Fake" sign
- If my signature is not visible when you've finished coloring, please alter the opacity or relocate it (to just outside the lines)
- My signature MUST be visible on every entry
- Have fun! (:

I want reasonably-skilled artists who can create at least 1 Sol per week (preferably more). Quality is greatly prioritized over quantity, however. I want artists who have a decent understanding of horse color genetics and grasp the idea of the two mutations distinctive to Sol mustangs (as well as the ability to play with those ideas to create unique and lovely Sols). The ability to make simple designs look beautiful, not just the complicated ones, is an impressive skill that will boost your chances of being invited to the team. Artists need to be able to post the correct information along with each Sol they create, which is why the title and form requirements for individual entries are included.
I have no set limit for the number of artists I will accept, nor a set end-date for the artist search (for the time being it is an ongoing search). Just because you are not accepted does not mean your skill level is too low; I may have already accepted a sufficient number of artists for the time being, but if more positions open up or demand increases you may be accepted later on.
