Additional info (optional): It started to darken, slowly, the road got covered in shadows. No move could be spotted. The wind was blowing violently, foreseeing the approaching of a storm.
"Slow down, I'm tired" cried a voice barely echoing over the howling squall. It took a while until two silhouettes could be distinguished after a bent of the dusty path. It was clearly that one of them, shorter and skinnier, had real troubles keeping up with the other one, massive and imposing. Even if their faces were still invisible because of the darkness, at first sight it was obvious that the two strange appearances were a male and a female.
"It's getting very cold" whispered her, wrapping nervously a long veil around her shoulders.
"Lilith, can ya stop complainin'!? It's not like you're warmin' up if you're naggin' meh, aye? We gotta keep moovin'; 'ere are lotta dangers." the man stopped and turning to her.
"Hmph, then move aside" replayed her with bitterness.
He was the more muscle, less brain type, but the man who played the bodyguard for her had indeed a heart. He cared for his mistress more than he wanted to admit and even when wasn't paid for his work, he would have protected her anyways from any threat.
In spite of being from the kind of demons, and having the tendency to lie, deceive and sin all day long, Lilith herself had a trace of kindness via her servants, managing to earn their affection.
The tall man was serving her since she was a child so she had an usual respect for him considering his rank. She considered him as a father and she didn't dare to argue him most of the time.
With the corner of the eye, Lilith spotted a movement in some bushes nearby. As the night has settled in and they weren't expecting any guests, it could mean only one thing... a threat.
Fluttering her tail barely noticable, she let his protector know of the "visitor"
In the next second they both took shelter in the behind of a fallen tree with a wave of poisoned arrows flying upon them. Lilith's veil was auctioning as an impenetrable shield, so they succeeded in surviving without even a scratch.
Understanding the situation and being umaware of the number of the enemies, the man admitted he couldn't do much so let her deal with the enemies.
Lilith was indeed a demon and her royal blood made her a very powerful one. The only inconvenience for her was that she could use her powers only after the midnight.
"Ten minutes left, we have to resist"
"I'll create a diversion" said her without expecting any response in return. But right after she started her plan she understood it was a very bad idea. A gang of bloodthirsty thieves was waiting patiently for the next victim to come outside the hideout.
"Well, well, well... what do we have here? Come closer little treasure" laughed their leader.
The next thing she remembered was that she got tied up while the others were looking carefully at her.
"Now what boss?"
"Seems to be a royal kind, I'm sure we can get lotta money from her." he replied, playing with a long dagger then threatening her with it: "pray to be like that for your life's sake"
