Beaker (greyhound) is still going strong! Going greyer and greyer by the day though. He'll be 9 this September. His anxiety has gotten so much better over the years and I've finally found a diet that really, truly seems to work for him. Aside from regular greyhound-type accidents such as RIPPING OFF A DEWCLAW AT 2AM, he isn't such problem-child anymore.
May (blue merle smooth collie) had her 2nd and final litter in April. She also had 2 very expensive root canals this year... Please insure your pets if you haven't already and don't want to go broke. We achieved her Grand Championship in January of 2019 and she's now mostly retired from showing, save for appearances at CCA Nationals or the Veterans class at specialty shows once she's old enough. We've tried to get into performance events but she really isn't very interested, so our focus will finally be able to go 100% to her service work. Not that there's much public access to do for now, but there's always other training to be done.
Thora (tricolor smooth collie) is my newest addition since I "disappeared". She is May's daughter from her first litter. She'll be 3 in September. My friends and I (quite seriously) call her the "malincollie" haha. She is the driviest collie you'll meet. She is really a dream come true to move forward with as a breeder and exhibitor. We've trained in barn hunt and she ADORES it. Once the world is more back to normal, I do have plans to get into other sports with her, tracking and herding being on our shortlist. She is halfway to her AKC Championship.
OMG look how everyone's grown! Welcome back. How did Beaker like the puppies?
