so here's a fun story. I've used oekaki for almost 8 years and until like yesterday I thought the watercolor tool was basically useless because it would always start white on a new layer

well yesterday i realized if i turned the color all the way up it. would not do that? so yea I am Big Dumb and this was me experimenting with the watercolor tool xD i don't really like how this turned out but hey at least i learned something xD

I personally use the watercolor tool a lot to evenly blend colors! c: if you have two very different colors side by side and you want them to blend together without it looking grainy, I use the default water color settings (pen pressure off though) and “paint” back and forth on the border between the colors (have to be on the same layer) and it will blend them in a way that looks like brush strokes instead of airbrush.

you can also turn on sample all layers and itll blend pretending all the layers you have are on the same layer as it uwu
