Blizzardclan's nursery is big. Much bigger than any other of the dens in the territory. Moss dangles from the entrance so it is an easy in easy out. On the inside paw steps made the mud hard. There is smal holes in the ground for possible "nests" for the cats to sit in when they want privacy with their kits. They are small but compact on the edges and warm. It gives the queens a nice place to sleep without possibly losing their kits overnight.
For the queens waiting for kits there is moss beds. They are warm and even somethimes nice to lay on. The moss beds aren't too cold in winter but the best for summer.
There is a very interesting hidden feature of the nursery that only queens know. The escape tunnel. The escape tunnel is hidden under a moss bed and leads to hunting ground and away from territory. It brings them farther in the woods where no cats or two legs live. Just a new backup territory for the queens to settle in as battle goes on. Of course most the queens go back but one is forced to keep watch of the kits. When battle is over a queen will come back, tell the guard cat, and bring more to help bring kits back to camp.

Prompt: In Owlclan, the nursery is built with the intention to keep kits warm and safe. The tunnel of the nursery is hidden in a bush that has moss covering the inside to protect the kits from the brambles that act as a natural barrier to intruders. While it is not the biggest, its size is substantial enough to house at least four to five queens along with their kits. The nests inside are dug into the ground enough that kits have a hard time climbing out, allowing queens to keep better track of their kits. Lined with moss, bird down, and other soft materials, including a gentle layer of sheddings usually from the mother, these nests are made to be soft and insulating to keep both queen and kits warm. In the winter, extra effort is placed into replacing the moss on the inside of the bush to keep it from getting too moist/humid in the den and extra padded to block out snow.
Despite the clan only having one member, Miss Owlstar may be expecting... ;3

Prompt: In the spring, as trees come to bloom, there is a small grove of particularly pretty trees that sprout soft pink flowers. Cherry Blossoms in the territory are the main part in an event called PetalFall. PetalFall is mostly for young cats under the age of 10 moons and involves a festival of arts and crafts of sorts. Kits like to gather the fallen petals and create little necklaces and circlets of them tied together to decorate their parents with or to gather them to decorate their dens and nests. Contests like guessing tree leaves and flowers is a common game, and the one who wins usually gets to ask their mother one thing they either want or want to do. This is also a day of celebration for Queens, new and old alike, where they are pampered by their mates and given some reprieve from their kittens if they wish.
This is also the perfect season for hunting and scouting skills to be sharpened, and apprentices are often taken to the river to learn how to hunt fish as the ice breaks up. The clan often resupplies the herbal stock and the Seer will often pick out morsels to dry and store through winter. A good Seer knows the best place to allow food to dry into a jerky of sorts and keep the dried food clean and good for the whole winter. This technique is often done through the use of either ivy tied into trees, an activity that is sometimes given to Apprentices to improve their tree climbing, or through leaving them on sunning rocks. The former is much more common than the latter to keep scavengers away. This may also be done by hanging them just outside the Medicine Den, but it is more common outside the camp due to a concern of attracting predators.
While this season is plentiful, it also can pose a danger as new and young predators could wander into the territory, making a Sentinel’s patrol essential to protecting the next generation of kits. Queens are also vulnerable at this time since it is often birthing season.

"Milo, I think i'm going to die!" Skye whined, dipping her paws into the creek. Milo rolled his eyes. "Oh, shut it. It's not that bad." Skye went silent for a moment, head hanging low. Oh no, Milo, you idiot. Milo scooted closer, his apology stumbling out "Skye, I'm sorry, I didn't mean--"

Skye grinned, whipping around and tugging Milo into the water. He squeaked, jumping to his paws. His fur was soaking wet. "Now look what you've done."

Skye giggled. "Your fault." He scrambled over to Skye, getting in her face. "My fault? How is my fault you pushed me in?" She snorted. "I didn't push you in! Well, technically, I more so pulled you in. And anyways, it's your fault because you were dumb enough to fall for it!" Milo hissed. "Oh, well excuse me for caring!"

Dipper had been perched above in the tree overhanging across the stream the entire time. He rolled his eyes and called out, "Keep it down, drama queens!" They both whisked around angrily and Dip narrowed his eyes. "You heard me."

Milo and Skye shared a glance between each other before scrambling up the tree, chasing after dipper. "Hey, get back here! It's your turn!"

The three of them sat together as night approached. Milo let himself fall against Dipper, cuddling up to him. He licked the top of Milo's head. Milo purred, turning to Skye. "I think the heat might actually become an issue. Greenleaf gets closer and closer, and I know some of us have thicker coats. They're helpful in the winter, but man, you have a point."

"What do you suggest we do, Chief?" Dipper mewed. Milo grew embarrassed. "W-we could start hanging up branches and make leaf canopies for more shade." He mumbled.

"That's not a bad place to start." Skye agreed. (333 words)

Within the Owlclan, the cats have learned that the trees' shade keeps the territory mostly cool and the surrounding rivers are excellent at providing much-needed relief to those with longer fur, who prefer to spend their summer days hunting fish than dealing with the heat and hunting terrestrial creatures. The occasional breeze that brings cool air is always gratefully met, and the Seers tend to allow cats into the cooler medicine den and bring moss balls full of river water back for those who can't leave camp.

In the summer heat, Lilacmoon picked her way through the mass of towering trees that kept the most of the territory cool in the shade and approached the clearing OwlClan made their camp in, ducking beneath the bramble bushes to find the Khan laying listlessly in the grass by the Sunning Rocks in the middle, three lazing kittens dozing by her side.
"You've returned," OwlStar's voice was soft, most likely a little dazed in the heat and to keep from waking the kittens by her side. They would soon be old enough to venture outside the camp's walls and learn to be warriors, but for now, they were still small and fragile and oh so cute. Lilicmoon felt her heart ache gently. One day, she would love little ones of her own, but for now, she was happy to provide for them and her leader.
The Seer dipped her head respectfully, walking closer. A ball of moss dangled in her jaws, soaked with water from the creek and much cooler than the small, shallow spring pool in camp. As OwlStar placed her head back on her paws, Lilacmoon gently placed the soaked ball on her head, receiving a happy sigh of relief with the cool sensation, then laughing a little at the sight of OwlStar licking up the stray droplets that landed on her nose. The two of them had been taking turns watching the kits, but often, the grey she-cat would get too nervous. It was her litter after all, and Lilacmoon had been so kind to provide for her.
"Once they're old enough, we should take them down to the river," OwlStar murmured, "The cold water would do them good."
"It was quite nice." The Seer commented, fur still damp from her own dip, "I'm sure they'll love it, too."
