Leo was surprised to see the reptiles eyes glow as it spoke, "look into my eyes Leo... The legends true power will be yours..." Leo was hesitant to look into the reptiles eyes any further, but... something made him curious to know the true legend of his power. As he looked into the reptiles eyes, his life flashed before his eyes! All of his mistakes, kindness and choices in his lifetime showed, as he started to cry remembering what he had told his parents, "I rather be alone in this God forsaken kingdom than be with you!" As it passed that part of his life he saw himself kneeling before a statue. Wait. It wasnt a statue it was a creature. "Remember Prince Leo. You have the power to handle the earth elements: fire. Earth. Water. Air. Darkness. These will be helpful along your journey to knowing the truth about your past, before you could remember." Suddenly, he was back staring at the reptiles.

Random fact about them: They are a rare species of elf that is nearly extinct, with a select few tribes still living in forests or preteneding to be other races in the cities. it is easier for them to pretend to be others and not exist then to reveal their real dientities. Their species was subject to an ancient genocide, that few know what started it.

Additional info/Extras: Their name comes from the yellow/gold gemstone called Citrine.

the truth about their people. Citri had longed to know what happened to his people, as he was one of the few left. A once great civilization, advanced far beyond the rest seemed to have just disappeared? It seemed wrong. It didn’t make sense to the young man,he needed to find out the truth. Citri’s mentor, and old historian, refused to answer it for the boy. He insisted that Citri find the answer out for himself. He gave the young elf a map and sent him on his way. Sometimes the old man’s methods were questionable but Citri knew that this was important for him, after all it was his heritage. Citri brushed his hair from his face before eventually pushing himself off of the ground. This was it, he would finally find out about his past. Though the boy had no idea what an old cave could hold. He stepped into the mouth of the dark cave, quickly surrounded by darkness. The elf felt around for a stick and soon found one. He muttered a few words in the ancient elven language that his mentor had taught him and the end of the stick lit up with a flame. The orange and yellow flames danced, illuminating the cave walls that surrounded him. Citri’s eyes widened as his eyes landed upon drawings scattered across the cold stone in orange chalk, and strange symbols, a language of some sort. Upon closer inspection he could understand a few words like human, fire, storm, magic and rain each one was a part of the ancient elven language that he barely knew. He had no idea what the few words he saw meant. The elf pulled out a small leather bound book, cover engraved with the same tribal symbols that were on his body. He began to sketch the symbol and drawings so he could examine them better. He was determined to decipher the story behind each drawing and find out the truth.

Character's favorite song and/or theme song: Tas doesn't listen to much music as the lute players only take requests from the reigning king, so instead: Tas enjoys sitting outside or on the balcony outside his window to listen to the songs of local birds - especially that of the Thrush Nightingale

Random fact about the character: Wears a feather on a string around his neck, made from his first animal companion - a kestrel named Thestral (he was young and thought it was funny) - upon his passing.

Backstory (optional): Found in the stables by the late King and Queen in late Fall, Tasman was a quick new addition into the royal family - much to the displeasure of the previously only son and sole heir to the throne, Seleukos. Tasman was spoiled greatly, the Queen sparing no expense to get the young child everything his heart desired - a bird, riding lessons, a deer hide bound notebook for drawing and writing - as well as private tutors to teach the finer details of ruling (though Tas didn't seem to have much of an interest in those, discovering his skill for moving silently and climbing down buildings to escape). Now, at 19, Tasman spends most of his time wandering the kingdom at his leisure - only coming back to the palace when summoned (and as a promise to his parents).

Additional info (optional): Tasman has three thin lines inked on his wrist that have been there since birth - something that was thought to be dirt when the royal family found him, but is instead a signifying mark of his species. While he may look normal on the outside, Tas is apart of a different and mostly unknown subclass of sapien and his unique DNA is what gives him his ability of speaking to animals.

Backstory (optional):
Adayja was an only child living with her parents and grandfather and she grew up out in the country. She spent way too much time getting absolutely lost in the woods and might never have come out if it wasn't for her family's collie keeping her safe. Her school was just normal school and she'd never had exceptional grades or interest in a scientific field but she entered into a scholarship to study in the new space station in the next solar system over as a part of a cultural exchange/exposure. Now she's there and she's just insanely happy to meet all the new people who are literally out of the world.

Random fact about them: She has an excellent memory, particularly for the names and properties of the various plants and animals of her homeland.
Additional info/Extras: Janiva (yan-ee-vah) is a deity of sorts. Though she has no actual birthday or creation day, she often states that it is a day in late April due to Spring being her favourite season and Taurus being an earth sign, which she feels is the most closely linked to her. Her role is to care for the natural world, nurturing it to the best of her ability. She possesses the powers of nature, ranging from speeding up the growth of plants to creating new decorative flower species or growing entire forests; as well as manipulation of the weather around her and some control over seasonal changes. She also has minor powers related to the mind, being able to enter the thoughts of some animals, more so reptiles due to practice and what she feels is a closer connection to them than mammals. Or maybe it’s just favouritism.

The snake coiled itself ever more tightly around her wrist as she continued to look at it. “You sure are one funny little specimen,” she murmured to herself as she examined the detail in its scales, noticing several well-healed scars arching along its smooth skin. “But why you would doubt me I do not know.” Taking the utmost care in what she did, she entered its thoughts, exploring the neatly ordered memories and experiences. It was clearly not a young snake. It should have known better than to question her true intentions. “Why do you not trust me, snake?” She asked clearly. To the forefront of the snake’s thoughts came a memory. A memory of a great fire and the pain that followed it; of the suffering and death of all animals and other life that laid in its path, some of whom had only narrowly escaped with their lives, of others who had not been so lucky. A thought followed the memory, highlighting the uncertainty that tainted the snake’s subconscious.

Why do you let bad things happen if you’re supposed to be our almighty protector? Our guardian? All those who have passed on, those who got an early end, what did they do to deserve it?

Janiva paused momentarily. “Some things cannot be stopped. I must not intervene where my presence is not wanted. Fate needs to play out in a certain way, no matter the consequences, and not even I can affect the way things are truly meant to be.” She withdrew from the snake’s mind. It seemed to have relaxed a little, though an aura of sadness had settled over its movements. Maybe it had lost a loved one in that fire. “Do not mourn, my friend,” she said to it quietly. “You shall be safe with me. I’ll make sure nothing can harm you any longer.”
