Not going to lie though I was hoping for a switch lite so I’d have an excuse to buy it. I already have the Eevee switch. While I do really like this AC one, I don’t want to sell my current special edition to get it. >_<

I might grab the carry case though! I plan on getting a lite at some point.

I just preordered the console. I had the original switch and since EB games was doing a thing where I trade in the old console and only pay $199 I thought why not. Super excited

I heard something about Japan selling them separately but idk if that's true and if it is idk if they are going to do it outside japan

^ Importing doesn’t cost as much as buying a regular sized switch at least. Though it might be even cheaper to just buy a custom one off Etsy or something because at that point importing is still fairly expensive lol.

Hey everyone! I'm hardly ever on CS anymore *weeps* buuuut I'm super excited for ACNH! And I realized I never joined this V2 thread, so hiii!

I just preordered the new AC console and I'm super excited to get it. I did it through Target so I'm hoping they don't run out of stock - I've never heard of that happening but I also don't keep up with that sort of thing. I was so excited when it was announced though, because I've been holding out on getting a switch hoping they'd have a special edition one and I was losing hope after Jan 20 since it's less than 2 months since the game comes out. I was going to preorder the game via Target too as it comes with a journal in the US but they sold out of preorders for that and tbh I didn't care if I got a journal or not.

However, what are your preferences with Switch games: digital or physical? I'm undecided since I don't yet own a Switch but I'm leaning towards physical for the nostalgia of DS games and I'm slightly paranoid I'll somehow lose game data or progress with a digital copy?? And since I'm most excited for ACNH as far as Switch games go, if I got it as a physical copy I could just leave it in my Switch and get all my other future games digitally. But I'd like some input on what others think they'll do! I haven't seen any preorders that make me really want a physical copy yet either, so really I could go either way.

Y'all I'm yelling. I'm so torn over the special release console. I bought a switch back in November because I knew I'd want it for ACNH, and I honestly didn't think we'd get a special release switch. I'm shook that we got one and it is GORGEOUS. I want to get it so bad, but idk if it's worth the hassle of getting it, transferring all my games and data from my current switch onto the new one, and then trying to sell my current switch. I honestly would love?? Advice??? I dunno how hard it is to sell a switch nor what the heck I'd price it at.

Is it worth the hassle? I'm a huge AC fan, but I just don't know.

Digital and physical both save to the switch, physical doesn’t save to the cart like the DS/3DS carts.
I’m getting physical though because I just love owning physical. Plus I bought those cute AC mini cases to put my game carts in.

Oh have you guys been keeping up with all the model renders??! They’re so cute, aaaaa. They also confirmed some of my favorite villagers made it to NH! Marshal, Olivia, and Vivian. I hope Daisy, Tia, and Norma also made it. I won’t be too upset if they don’t though because I could always use it as an excuse to revisit my new leaf town.

If I'm gonna be honest, if you already have a lot of data on your current switch I wouldn't really bother with buying the new ACNH model. I'm a super big AC fan as well and I got my switch back in 2017 and when they revealed the ACNH themed switch I got heart broken because I would've loved the new pastel joy-cons. The only thing I really care about are the new joy-cons and I'm sure people will be selling those on eBay by themselves so I'd just wait on that I guess? That's my advice but it's ultimately your decision and I hope you make one that makes you happy!
