Alright,

My idea, his “throw up” is actually just poisonous fluid regurgitated by him. Like many poisonous species (ie snakes, frogs etc.) their colors seem to be on the colorful side. His coat color, thereby signifies his toxicity. He goes about his life wandering and lurking, eating tree fungus and random forest berries. With those he eats, a sac in his body fills up with a subsistence made by some parts of those in which he eats. As soon as the sac fills up he immediately regurgitates it, and any animal who steps in it will slowly grow weak and die, leaving them to get preyed on by larger animals. He’s a pretty slow and restless creature but backed away by other animals due to the known fact of him being poisonous. So basically yea he’s just poisonous, not by touch, at all, just in consumption and his regurgitated fluid. (Not the best at describing things or ideas so sorry ahh) love this boy tho, what a sweetie! <3 I can add more words if it doesn’t add up haha

what's wrong with him? is he sick? is it defense mechanism? give me a 100+ word reason why he might be throwing up: Due to the nature of Aciiyotes, they have a strong stomach acid that can be used in defense. When provoked, they regurgitate the acid onto their enemies. But sicknesses cause the stomach to expel more and more stomach acid, which can lead to serious health risks. Other than that, a diet of rabbit, lizards, and mammals like badgers and raccoons make the stomach acid strong. Other animals, mainly birds and rodents, make the stomach acid weaker, which can lead to the Aciiyote to be picked off quicker. The leader of a pack of Aciiyotes is determined by how fast one's stomach acid can burn through stone.

what's wrong with him? is he sick? is it defense mechanism? give me a 100+ word reason why he might be throwing up:Voski is very sick, sick because of stress. The liquid is actually a gold goo, very precious to the people that live in the area around the mountains where he lives.The people know he's around, a being with untold riches hidden in their stomach sounds very useful. Voski doesn't want to be held captive by the humans. He's a wild beast, he wants to be free, he's constantly afraid that the people are going to find him. He's being hunted and he knows it. Voski used to be a soft white color, matching the gold of his goo and eyes, but his color has darkened from years upon years of hiding in the caverns up in the mountains. His stomach issues may also stem from this time spent in the dark. He belongs in the sky, in the sun (maybe he had wings but lost them long ago)

what's wrong with him? is he sick? is it defense mechanism? give me a 100+ word reason why he might be throwing up: Fever is constantly at the mercy of his immune system. He's always ill with one bug or another, and not all have similar side effects. The vomit isn't anything new to him. It's one of those symptoms that wanes off but always comes back. Fever doesn't enjoy it and it certainly doesn't help him survive. If he didn't have a supportive pack, he'd be much worse for wear. What Fever doesn't know right now is that he's a compatible vessel for a spirit of disease, which is what causes his constant, almost unending sickness. While this is a large detriment in his daily life, it's only a matter of time before said spirit shows themselves and things become more complicated for the poor, sick man.

what's wrong with him? is he sick? is it defense mechanism? give me a 100+ word reason why he might be throwing up: Retch's vomit is actually very unique. Like how a snake sheds it's skin, Retch tends to shed his... Internal assets. If he becomes sick or internally injured, the acid in his stomach will travel through ducts adjacent to his veins and get released around his body, liquefying his organs and bones. Once these are in the process of being made into a liquid, new ones start to form and the old is then transferred back into the new stomach where it then is pushed up into vomit and expelled from the body. Retch hates this process as it burns and feels very painful, but he deals with it the best he can... He's just grateful that there isn't a similar process for external injuries.

he throws up as a weapon. his vomit is actually acidic - he's smaller than most creatures (about the size of a coyote) and often the larger animals try to pick on him. many animals simply think he's sick, and won't try to eat him or get in a fight. his species doesn't just use it for protection; acid is spit up onto trees to mark territory, to cover tracks, and it aids digestion. these creatures eat metals and some rocks, and the intense liquid breaks it down with ease.
