Guide to CS Rarities

I think it would be so great if we could get more people to use this list as opposed to constantly going by demand - which from what I've seen currently, fluctuates like mad.
If we have something which is concrete - simply going by rarity - people can obviously apply demand to that, but it won't be as crazy as the current demand is.

Basically: Aurora, you're a gem. Thanks for working on this!

Yeah I really hope this list will positively influence CS trading economy. And it's always up to every one of us to set an example of how trading should be like!
I totally understand it if someone wants to add some demand to the value of the pet, but by looking at rarity first you can at least find some common ground to actually know just how much you're "overpaying" and be able to decide if that is okay for you

And yeah that's all I could hope for, I'd never expect demand to be abolished completely; it is good in small doses. I just think without any factual data behind it, it's gotten way out of hand and people forget how much these pets are realistically worth.

The thread has been reshuffled again. The rarity history posts are now on page two and the picture lists are now on page three. I really wanted to avoid doing this, and keep the histories on the first page so it doesn't just appear like a new rares list, but I keep hitting the character limit on posts and needed more room to spread out the data. Unfortunately having a third page was the only option, even after rewriting the history posts with shorthand dates lol (but I think that looks better anyway).

Gonna try finish up all the data gaps I need filled before I can officially write up the VR rarity list. Once we get a rarity update I'll throw that bad boi together asap c:

It's 60,000 so it's very high but with hundreds of links it doesn't take long to hit lmao

i just wanna say aurora, your thread has helped me find the worth of my plains zebra and i just wanna thank you for that! so much i so long ive been so confused on its worth, but despite its "bad" demand its slowly gaining popularity again, and its one of the most valuable pets in the game ive heard too

It absolutely is one of the most valuable pets in the game! Back in 2009 their rarity was 1 for every 40,000 players (although that may have changed). I was so sad to come back after a few years to see their demand so low, they used to go for Sunjewels+.

I do hope their value increases again, they along with some Nick pets and basically every rat ever, are painfully undervalued. I'm glad this thread helped you! ^^
