Gabriel Ramirez | cismale | thirty-seven | werewolf alpha | location; alpha cabin | tagged; open

Sighing, the man rubbed his face with his hand as he turned away from the window of his room as he listened towards the sheriff talk about an incident in the woods. As he listened, the lines in his face deepened with worry as he watched some of the pack members playing basketball outside, unaware of the discovery of another body found near their border with the coven.

"Yeah, thanks for the heads up Em, I'll try and let people not to head that way and to look out for any bear tracks," he said as he did a small sigh as he hung up the phone and ran a hand through his hair. The alpha had hoped that the murders were just the works of a passing vampire or even werewolf but as more are being reported as an animal attack or a serial killer, it's starting to feel less likely. The recent death was a vampire from the coven they held a treaty with; Walter Fisher, who for a vampire, was a kind man and it was rather upsetting to the alpha to hear of his death.

"The coven is going to think we're responsible..." he said under his breath as Gabriel closed his eyes for a brief second before walking out of his cabin, trying to figure out what he was going to say to the pack about the dead vampire.

Dakota Webster | cismale | nineteen | werewolf scout | location; general store | tagged; open

The young scout was strolling through the town, enjoying seeing the decorations starting to be put up. He loved Halloween and really enjoyed all the spooky decorations, although, ironically he was afraid of most horror films and anything actually scary. The more he thought about the gorey films, a chill ran down his spine and caused him to shake his head in attempt to clear his thoughts.

Now I just need to find someone to watch the classic films with me, maybe snuggle while watching 'The Twilight Zone'? The teenager couldn't help a small giddy giggle at the thought, he knew it'd never actually happen but just the thought of it made him bubble up with warm and joy. Unable to take the grin off his face he looked around to see if anyone needed help, which none did so he ended up walking into the general store to find some snacks to get.

Donovan Van Stryker | cismale | one hundred twenty-two | vampire member | location; flower shop | tagged; open

Slowly another petal fell from the rose he had in a vase on the table in his room. The vampire's room was rather dark as most of the brightly colored flowers had started to wilt and turn a duller color than the vibrance they once held. If he was being poetic he'd compare them to his life since the passing of the love of his life. Shaking his head, he pounded his fist on the table, causing a cracking noise to vibrate off the walls of the silent room.

"You need to let her go...." he told himself in a softer voice as he stood up from his chair and grabbed his suit jacket and swiftly walked out of the door to both his room and the coven home. After a brief walk through their territory, his feet found them walking towards his beloved grave. Glancing down, he knelt to the ground in defeat. "I'm sorry, my love, I should've helped you..." he said in a voice barely above a whisper as he looked at the flowers he had last left on her grave.

Getting up, he dusted off his pant legs and closed his eyes to collect himself before turning and making his way into town, belining towards the flower shop located there. As he arrived, he just opened the door, not caring about his hair not being perfect or his suit being a little dirty. All he really cared about was getting his Elizabeth some fresh flowers for her gravesite as she'd like that and she deserved that.

Arabella woke up in her bed, like she was supposed to... every morning... "What was I thinking about?" She asked herself before getting up and taking a sip of water from her nightstand. Bella quickly got changed before starting her favorite part of the day, as dorky as it was. Bella started to of course do her makeup, but she decided to switch it up and she wasn't going as all out as she usually did. It was one of those days, where you could be blinded by the sun rays but it wasnt sunny, or early enough for there to be a sunrise this bright "Christ" bella muttered as she finished her makeup and going downstairs to eat

To put it simply, Caroline missed sleep. It's not like she felt tired, as vampires don't require sleep, it's that she didn't know how to occupy her time in those hours where the humans around her were dormant. Sure, it was a good opportunity for a meal, but then she also had to deal with killing said meal before it becomes a problem. She sighed as she sat down on her sofa and took a long sip of pigs blood out of a mug with the phrase "be gay do crime" written on it in very sloppy cursive.

Robbie Sawyer | cismale | 19 | vampire (citizen/newly turned) | location; general store | tags: open; Dakota Webster (partly Arabella Laver, Evalina Hawkins, and Britton Davis)

Robbie had been having trouble sleeping ever since that night at the film festival a few weeks back. He had noticed all the signs of sickness; pale skin, cold hands, sensitivity to sunlight; but yet he didn't really feel... sick. In truth, Robbie hadn't felt much of anything since almost dying except for fear. For the past few weeks he had stayed holed up in his room, blackout curtains drawn, curled in his bedsheets, feeling nothing but utter despair. Something was clearly wrong, but he couldn't talk about it- not with anyone. Even his closest friends.

And he felt bad for ghosting them all; he hadn't responded to their messages for days. He could tell they were worried, extremely so, but he couldn't force himself to send a message back. The phone screen hurt his eyes too much.

When he stepped outside his door he had to lift an arm to block the sun. His eyes could barely adjust to the light, but after blinking a few times he found it bearable to look around. At least it was partly overcast, or else he would've turned back around. He knew the route to the grocery store by heart and made his way down the street. He passed a few nameless neighbors on the way and felt the craving again, which he tried to push down. It made his hands itch, and he scratched nervously at his knuckles before shoving them into his pockets. That was the one thing he couldn't explain: the craving. Whenever he passed by or looked at a living thing, it made his skin burn and his stomach fill with butterflies. It was almost like he could hear their heartbeat, sense the blood moving through their veins-

His thoughts were broken as he almost walked straight into the opening door of the store. He stopped himself abruptly, grabbing the handle to hold it open for the woman leaving. She gave him a strange look before walking away, and he nervously ran a hand through his curls. Did he look that bad?

Ignoring the thought, Robbie turned and entered the store with a sigh. He looked over the shelves of snacks, his stomach turning nervously. That was another thing he noticed- he didn't feel hungry anymore. Well, not hungry for food at least. He glanced around, looking for a sign that said 'Milk" on the wall. Had they changed up the layout of the store? Had he been gone for that long?

Spotting the sign, he made a direct beeline for it by cutting through the aisles. As soon as he turned the corner into one filled with snacks, he practically ran straight into Dakota.

"Sorry-" he starts to mumble before realizing who it is. He takes a single step back, enough for there to be comfortable space between them, and scratches the back of his neck. "Dakota. Hey." He can't bring himself to look at Dakota's face, so he nervously glances around the aisle instead. This was his best friend and yet... he felt so awkward. Maybe he wouldn't feel so bad if he had actually replied to the texts Dakota had sent him the past few days. But, then again, Robbie didn't even know if Dakota had sent texts. He couldn't look at his phone screen. He just assumed his friends had sent him messages.

Aleks Avon | cismale | 23 | werewolf warrior | location; flower shop | tags; Donovan Van Stryker

"Nyet-" the werewolf lets out a sharp breath, running a hand through messy hair as he leans against the counter, back turned to the door of the store. "No," he quickly corrects himself in English, rolling his eyes as he mumbles into the phone, "we only do custom flowers-" he fumbles over the word choice, "we only do custom bouquets if you come into the store." The person on the other end seems to get angry at this, and Aleks' response is to immediately hang up and mumble a string of words in Russian with annoyance.

He had heard the ring of the bell above the door, signaling the entrance of a customer during the phone call. He suddenly remembers this- almost as if he forgot- and swings around to face the door with mock embarrassment. "Welcome to Woodridge Flowers, how may I help you?" He says through a goofy smile, only recognizing the person standing at the other end of the shop to be a vampire after he finishes talking. And not only a vampire, but the vampire Aleks had been gushing over for the past few months. Wonderful.

He nervously adjusts the white apron he has on- which is required for the job- and leans on the counter with his elbows. He quickly looks over the vampire- who is, of course, Donovan Van Stryker, but he doesn't know that- and notices how unkempt he seems. That doesn't seem like a bad thing to Aleks, however; quite the opposite. The broken aura draws Aleks in. Something about the melancholic vampire makes Aleks want to help him.

Anton Romanko | cismale | 31 | werewolf medic | location; medic cabin | tags; open

Anton was somewhat in the loop about the recent killings, but also somewhat out of it. He knew it was happening, sure, but he didn't know the details. That didn't stop him from getting nervous, however. Taking a swig of the coffee in his nearly empty coffee mug, Anton leans back in his chair and lets out a long sigh. He begins taking down notes- mostly ideas and speculations- about the recent events. He knew he shouldn't care, or as he put it, "good riddance," about the deaths of vampires, or the deaths of anyone not fully related to the pack, but it was still worrisome. Letting out a long sigh, he glances out his open doorway and sets down his notebook.

Brian Adams ~ Male ~ Twenty-Nine ~ Human
Location: Cabin on outskirts of town ~ Tags: None/Open

Brian had been up longer than he'd care to admit, but he'd come out onto the small porch of the cabin and watched the sun rise over time through the trees. It was quiet here, peaceful even. And as he rocked in the chair slightly he understood with his Grandpa lived here rather than any bustling city. Grandpa Nate weighed on his mind a bit more lately, especially considering Brian had taken up residence for the last month in what was once Nathaniel Adams home. The elderly man had died of cancer, and hadn't told anyone in the family that he'd even had it or been sick. Not to mention the fact that Brian had only visited the man once in the last ten years and well, he felt a little guilty all things considered.

For the last month he'd been living off the money he'd saved while in the military combined with the money his Grandfather had left him. But he knew he couldn't keep doing that, he needed to try and get a job somewhere in town soon. Sitting forwards in the chair he rubbed a hand down his face, stifling a yawn. As nice as the place was he was getting a little stir crazy the last week, going into town for nothing else than to be around other people. The neighbors on the outskirts where the cabin were few and far between, he'd only run into one so far and that was when he was on his way back from hiking up along the nearby river for a bit. Brian considered whether he should break out his grandfather's fishing gear and give it a go, if nothing else he could have fish tonight. He just knew he couldn't sit on the porch and enjoy the view all day.

As the young adult was about to move to the drinks, he paused just before he was almost run through by another person. Almost instantly he knew who it was, but something was off about his best friend, something he couldn't place within the first few seconds before the other boy spoke again. As the scout looked more at his friend, his brows furrowed with some worry at the state.

"Robs, h-how..." he then trailed off before doing a small shake of his head to clear what he was going to say, "listen, I'm sorry for canceling last minute, you know how my aunt gets sometimes and she just watched a scary movie and practically begged me to stay with her. I know that's not an excuse though, but I'd really like it if you stopped ignoring me and the rest of us, I-we were all really worried about you," he said, closing his mouth after his ramble, almost a little embarrassed at it.

"I know I can't really make up missing a festival, but uhh is there anything I can do?" Dakota asked as he looked down at his friend, almost giving his puppy dog eyes on accident as he nervously shifted his weight on his feet. As he was waiting for a response, he couldn't help but scent something different about his friend, maybe a new cologne? he thought as he focused back towards the other boy.

Donovan Van Stryker | cismale | one hundred twenty-two | vampire member | location; flower shop | tagged; aleksandr avon

As he noticed the man on the phone, he couldn't help but shake his head at buying flowers by hands of a werewolf, mostly since his kind has been killing the members of the coven he was apart from. But he needed these flowers and this was the only shop close unless he wanted to go to another city, which he did not really want to do. When the wolf got off the phone and turned to him, he could see the flash of recognition in his eyes as the worker realized that he was a vampire.

"I need a bouquet of sunflowers, as fast as you can," he said in an almost rushed voice as he stalked his way to the counter, this was the one thing that he did not mess around with and he wanted the worker to know that. "I don't care if there are extra costs either," he hummed before glancing down at the werewolf's name tag before adding, "Aleksandr."

The taller man then turned away and ran a hand through his hair, almost a subconscious thing he was unaware of as he let his thoughts roam, which wasn't the safest thing to do when in a room with the supposed enemy, but he didn't quite care at this point. All the vampire cared about was getting his deceased wife her favorite flowers to place on her grave. Was his slight obsession with the flowers and her healthy? Most likely not, but he didn't and still doesn't have anyone to talk to it about which means he's left dwelling on the past.

Robbie Sawyer | cismale | 19 | vampire (citizen; newly turned) | location; general store | tags: Dakota Webster

Robbie listened to Dakota's apology and felt his heart lurch. He thought he was mad at him? "It's- It's okay. I'm not mad. I wasn't ignoring you guys i-" he let out a breath, not sure what lie to use. It felt wrong lying but.. how could he tell anyone about that night? It was hard enough hearing Dakota mention it. "I've been sick for the past week. It was probably just a viral thing. You know how my mom is-" he let's out a short chuckle "-overprotective. I was on quarantine."

He ran a hand across the scar on his neck nervously, attempting to somehow hide it with his hood. Maybe Dakota wouldn't notice it.

"You don't have to make it up, they played cheesy movies anyways. I mean, they didn't even play 'Scream' or 'Halloween'. I was really disappointed." He punches Dakota's arm lightly to try and lighten the mood. "We could just get together-" he smiles at that but corrects his wording fast "as- as a group to watch some classics or something. I'm sure Belle is free."

He waits a moment, finally bringing himself to take a long look at Dakota. It felt like forever since he had seen his best friend, but it was refreshing. Feeling practically nothing for the past week or so- feeling dead- was horrible. But just seeing his friend made him feel warm and happy inside. He crossed his arms comfortably, waiting for a response.

Aleks Avon | cismale | 23 | werewolf warrior | location; flower shop | tags: Donovan Van Stryker

Aleks felt his heart race as Donovan stalked to the counter and stated what he needed and when. The added line of Aleksandr made his hands clammy. This vampire meant business, and although he should feel intimidated it made him smile.
"Sunflowers, of course. No problem."
Aleks knew they didn't keep flowers like that out in the main area of the shop- the owner had a specific aesthetic she liked to portray and yellow just didnt 'fit' it. He drummed his hands against the counter before making his way into the back of the store through one of those doors with hanging beads. There was a worktable and an array of flowers back there (way too many for how many customers they got) as well as some of the custom bouquets the owner had been making for friends. She generally kept sunflowers for special occasions- baby showers, mostly- but Aleks was sure she wouldn't mind if he snagged one of the bouquets she had premade. He quickly removed the blue ribbon that tied them together and replaced it with a common white one before carefully sliding the flowers into the protected paper they're usually carried in.

Shuffling back into the main store, he took a quick glance at the clock to make sure he didnt take too long to get the flowers. 6 minutes had passed- that's quick right? He swallowed down the lump in his throat.

"Is this alright?" He questioned, placing the flowers down on the counter with care. He hesitated to punch in the numbers on the register, waiting for the vampire's response. A part of him wanted to give him the flowers for free- there was a sort of pain in his eyes that he couldn't describe. He knew the owner was going to chew him out already for selling the sunflowers, but he could probably get away with it.

Bella finally stepped outside "Eugh!" she screeched at the bright sun. "Arabella Laver you are three-hundred and twenty-nine and still can't remember that the sun affects your eyes," Bella muttered. But whatever, starting her walk to the town, she loved seeing the decorations come together bit by bit, and Bella was pumped for the fair more and more each time she saw the decorations around town, She couldn't wait to see what progress the mayor and everyone else had made this time. But first, Bella had to actually walk to town.

Tap. Tap. Tap. The rhythmic tapping of fingers on a wooden desk, cluttered by design blueprints and rulers, echoed throughout Lucina's room as thoughts flooded her mind. When she had been brought out of her creative trance a few hours ago by the shrill sound of a phone ringing she hadn't thought much of it until it was brought to her attention that a murder had occurred. A murder of a member within her coven. A sigh escaped her lips as she stared at her surroundings trying to think of all the possibilities and reasons for Walter Fisher's death and yet she found none.

The werewolves couldn't have broken the treaty. It must have been someone else, yet what if it was them? She asked herself as she slowly got up from the chair she was situated in. She stared at her unorganized desk and scrunched her eyes a little moving around the papers into piles and utensils in a neat and organized fashion leaving the unfinished mug of blood on the desk before making her self presentable. Looking at the clock on the wall she watched as the seconds ticked by before quickly snapping her thoughts to the present. Calm down Lucina, go open up the boutique and then we can try and figure this situation out. she scolded herself as she began to exit the coven's mansion and travel to the small boutique she owned.

As the boutique's door opened with a soft creak Lucina quickly set up shop, making her way to the cashier's desk, she attempted to organize her thoughts as she stared outside the store's windows.

Evalina shifted from side to side in her bed as the sun's rays slowly filtered through the curtains and into her bedroom. With a groan, she opened her eyes and stared at the window before getting up, slowly getting ready for the day ahead. Donning a black dress and boots Evalina stared at her reflection before heading out to the kitchen of the quiet and lonely home. They must be out of town again. Evalina thought as she made herself a bowl of cereal and grabbed a few snacks, sitting down at the kitchen counter and quietly eating alone. Once she had finished her small meal she cleaned the dishes while pondering about the activities she could do today.

A sudden event popped up into her thoughts; the Halloween fair. They would most definitely begin to start setting up and arranging decorations throughout the town and that seemed like the perfect excuse for Evalina to get out of the lonely house she lived in. "Looks like we'll be exploring today, she muttered to herself as she exited her home and began to walk in the general direction of the town's center. A figure in the distance spotted her eye though, the figure seemingly looked like Arabella and quickly walking towards it Evalina noticed it was indeed her friend. "Arabella how have you been? Are you walking to town also?" She questioned her friend as the distance between the two shortened. "If so I could walk with you, I'm going there myself you see."

The vampire dabbed excess blood off her lips with a paper towel. Wonder if the trash man thinks I get a bunch of bloody noses, she thought. She snatched her wallet off the table and pleather jacket from her intricate coat rack. Caroline exited her apartment, securing and locking the door behind her. She practically flew down the stairs as she left the building. She took a gaze back at the exterioir door before heading down the street to city square. The vampire noted Arabella and Evalina conferring, and she trotted up to join them. "Hey," she greeted them casually.
