Sighing, the man rubbed his face with his hand as he turned away from the window of his room as he listened towards the sheriff talk about an incident in the woods. As he listened, the lines in his face deepened with worry as he watched some of the pack members playing basketball outside, unaware of the discovery of another body found near their border with the coven.
"Yeah, thanks for the heads up Em, I'll try and let people not to head that way and to look out for any bear tracks," he said as he did a small sigh as he hung up the phone and ran a hand through his hair. The alpha had hoped that the murders were just the works of a passing vampire or even werewolf but as more are being reported as an animal attack or a serial killer, it's starting to feel less likely. The recent death was a vampire from the coven they held a treaty with; Walter Fisher, who for a vampire, was a kind man and it was rather upsetting to the alpha to hear of his death.
"The coven is going to think we're responsible..." he said under his breath as Gabriel closed his eyes for a brief second before walking out of his cabin, trying to figure out what he was going to say to the pack about the dead vampire.

The young scout was strolling through the town, enjoying seeing the decorations starting to be put up. He loved Halloween and really enjoyed all the spooky decorations, although, ironically he was afraid of most horror films and anything actually scary. The more he thought about the gorey films, a chill ran down his spine and caused him to shake his head in attempt to clear his thoughts.
Now I just need to find someone to watch the classic films with me, maybe snuggle while watching 'The Twilight Zone'? The teenager couldn't help a small giddy giggle at the thought, he knew it'd never actually happen but just the thought of it made him bubble up with warm and joy. Unable to take the grin off his face he looked around to see if anyone needed help, which none did so he ended up walking into the general store to find some snacks to get.

Slowly another petal fell from the rose he had in a vase on the table in his room. The vampire's room was rather dark as most of the brightly colored flowers had started to wilt and turn a duller color than the vibrance they once held. If he was being poetic he'd compare them to his life since the passing of the love of his life. Shaking his head, he pounded his fist on the table, causing a cracking noise to vibrate off the walls of the silent room.
"You need to let her go...." he told himself in a softer voice as he stood up from his chair and grabbed his suit jacket and swiftly walked out of the door to both his room and the coven home. After a brief walk through their territory, his feet found them walking towards his beloved grave. Glancing down, he knelt to the ground in defeat. "I'm sorry, my love, I should've helped you..." he said in a voice barely above a whisper as he looked at the flowers he had last left on her grave.
Getting up, he dusted off his pant legs and closed his eyes to collect himself before turning and making his way into town, belining towards the flower shop located there. As he arrived, he just opened the door, not caring about his hair not being perfect or his suit being a little dirty. All he really cared about was getting his Elizabeth some fresh flowers for her gravesite as she'd like that and she deserved that.
