The pride lives in a forest of large oak trees away from all dangerous creatures. This place is protected by what they think are their gods and goddesses. The oak trees surround a clearing with a pile of rocks that form into a large den. The den could hold about twenty lion and lionesses. Behind the rocks that make up the den is a large rock where the lions can hold their meetings. The lion pride achieved this territory because they had to run away from their past territory. A fire had burned out their land and the prey that ran through had scattered. In order to survive, they journeyed following the path of the stars that their gods and goddesses had paved out for them.

Koloda(founder) was a loner, all other prides just didn't feel like what she had envisioned, she wanted something... sacred. Safe for her and others like her. Lost lionesses like her. She knew she must find that on her own. Make her own. She traveled vast distances, gaining a few friends along the way, until she found the place she would call hers. An unclaimed land, by any prides atleast, which was an old village, the humans long had been scared off, by folktale curses and bad luck. Water from a large lake shimmered like a bright crystal, reflecting the moon and stars almost perfectly. She surveyed the land, there was a vast marshy forest that trailed to the waterside up north, and large grassy fields surrounding the abandoned village. Down to the south-west however was a large rocky mountain, creating a similance of a valley, the water boxing them in on the east. There were distinct roads, one leading twords the forest, one leading out, guided on the sides by the mountain and lake, and a second one leading out guided by the mountain and forest. It was safe. It was home. She was honestly surprised no one had claimed it by that point, maybe the scent or idea of humans scared off any other prides? or maybe it being tucked into a valley seemed to make them distrustful. Maybe it was luck.

Their domain is that of a private white sandy beach with crystal clear waters. A place where the sunsets catch the ocean on fire with its bright vibrant colors. Just off of its shore is a lush jungle that is home to small makes and over flowing with fruit and resources. They sleep mostly under a blanket of stars unless a tropic storm hits or it’s just to hot under the summer sun. They then while retreat into a cavern which holds a small tide pool and an small hole in the roof for light. This tropical get away is a place where ones diet is made up of mostly fish and the fruits the little monkeys are willing to throw down. They came across this place years ago when their tribe use to be wanders that never settled in hopes to find Paradise. Do to a vision that the leader had it lead them to thins care free place.

Adora's pride, the Dark Sun pride, named after a solar eclipse, has it's home in the Sahara. It is warm, brushy, and full of wilderness, living in a delicate balance. The main source of water is a watering hole towards the center of the known land, and the pride's main food source is antelope or zebra. To the east is a dark set of mountains with snowy peaks, probably where snow leopards and other winter animals live, and to the west is an extension of the pride's territory under a road where humans drive by. In the north is a human town, the lions avoid it altogether, and to the south is a large ravine, marking the edge of the territory.

Inspiration/preferences/design prompt: Golden brown lioness with tan undersides and barely visible spots on the legs. Similar to natural colored lions. Maybe some white on the toes?

100 words (minimum) about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory: This territory is found surrounding a mountain pass. The lower parts of the territory are lush, green land with plenty of prey. There is a small waterfall flowing and pool hidden away in the crags. The middle part of the territory is rocky and good for driving prey in order to get them stumbled up. Lastly, the higher part of the territory is in the pass itself. This is where the pride is held up, tucked into a cave to evade the cold winds blowing through. The pride has lived here for many generations since the first ruler, Khalfani, claimed it. Legend is that Khalfani had to fight an entire group of tigers in order to acquire the territory they have now. No one knows if it's true but there are multiple indications of a great battle happening there with all of the claw marks on the rocks and mountain walls.

100 words (minimum) about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory: Maquara (founder) started from the bottom, prideless and alone. Shunned and abandoned by their family, they rebelled against other lions and lived alone. That is until they found a mate (I GUESS) and together they raised a rogue family of lions who violated the laws of the land. Each cub would grow up to be a charismatic villain who recruited other lions to practice the brutal ways of Maquara's pride. Maquara built their pride on the savanna, stolen land from hyenas through brutal war. No one dares enter their territory anymore. They hide in the grasses and wait for migrating, ignorant animals to attack.

Rising against the setting sun, a peaceful river flowing gently through a lush green valley, the pride’s territory stretches from the top of one mountain to the other. The top of the mountains are treacherous, coated in snow and ice, and the steep, rocky descent from the top even more dangerous. Despite the dangerous surroundings, the center of the valley is beautiful and calm, with small forested areas and open plains alike. Dangers in the valley come once a year, in the spring, when the lower mountain snow melts, flooding the river in the center of the valley. Luckily, the pride has been there for generations, and have built their dens within the safe regions of the base of the mountains.

TBD was queen of a pride outside the gorge, a position passed down from her mother to her. However, about a year ago a horrific fire overtook their savannah. Nothing was left untouched, the grass and trees reduced to ash, the water tainted. To survive, the herds of prey moved on, and thus the pride was forced to leave. They searched for months and eventually stumbled upon the gorge. TBD realized that inside this domain, the pride would find shelter. She sent scouts to scope out the area and to find the perfect territory. They came back speaking of an unclaimed stretch of land on the edge of the gorge filled with both savannah and forest, with a river passing through it. TBD decided to investigate it herself. The land was perfect, and soon the pride claimed it.

Here are some markings I adore, feel free to choose any of these or something else: vitiligo, points, black around the eyes (like winged eyeliner), and stripes on small sections of the body. I also love high contrast eyes.

100 words about their territory/where their pride will be built/how they achieved this territory: The MoonWatcher Pride was created by [insert lord name here]. He was exiled from his past pride for challenging their leader. Of course, he lost. But he was so determined to create a pride where lioness and cubs could live in peace, and know they were going to be taken care of. After leaving his pride, he traveled the Serengeti for 3 days before finding the perfect pride spot. It was a large outcrop of rocks encrusted in the side of a large ravine. below him, he could jump from rock to rock to get down to the bottom, where small caves and a pond lay, hidden from the outside world.

The territory where the Pride of the Fallen Moon lives is within a lion sanctuary based in coastal Southern Maryland. The sanctuary features mixed forest backing up on a coastal marsh to the east and southeast, and farmland to the west. The territory expands far beyond the edge of the sanctuary, however; the western border actually lies near the mountains in the northwestern part of the state and in West Virginia. The lions also spend a fair amount of time near the Chesapeake Bay. They were moved here from Central Africa in an attempt to set up an American reserve of the species. The pride slowly thrived, and human intervention is limited to a select group of highly trained lunchmeats... I mean, biologists, all of whom are trained in lion handling.
